That explains why the ex-mechanic picked a '95 model year EMU out of a Legacy for the engine swap. Are you saying that EMUs from 1995 would also flash the CEL to convey messages in response to the appropriate monkey motion?:confused2:

Yes it will

My Stabilitrac and traction control messages came back last night.. had not seen a single one since changing the front hub/bearing/sensors last weekend. The steering angle sensor is the next logical item (codes are intermittent and don't set any code that I can find). I know I am throwing some parts at it, but front hubs/bearings had some play (enough the wife noticed that the new ones no longer make the tires skip when backing up turning or swinging into a parking spot, so no concern there. The steering sensor is a bit of work (have to disconnect steering column and slit it to slide old sensor off, new one on). Ordered it from GM today, will take awhile to get (not like Amazon prime LOL).

I might try reading codes again this week or next, was not able to find anything last time with phone app or with laptop. I even borrowed a more sophisticated code reader from SIL that is mechanic. If I was really serious about getting the codes, I could stop by his work when his shift is ending (10:30pm) and he would read the codes (that is if the problem was present at that moment)..

Stay safe, prayers for those in need.

Anti lock break pump and sensors can also set off the traction control and stabilitrac codes. So can the speed sensors in the rear axle.

sister in California emailed me for more generator info, they have turned down not one but two 20k estimates to put in a 22kw standby propane Generac.
Parts cost under 5 grand. Should be no more than ten installed. I suggested she get a Honda inverter gen and just use extension cords until she gets what she needs.
Their power in Muir Beach went off last night, still off, and may be off for five days. California is seriously messed up.

View attachment 624260got GDO in right place and height. Can hang straight down from the truss. Need 2 hands for installing the hanger, so might need to use extension ladder.

Didn’t get much done today.

Might return the fitness tracker. Can’t get it to record steps.

Check out the Fitbit Charge 3. You can find them on sale for about $120 all the time. I started with a Charge 2 and upgraded to the Charge 3 back in the spring.

Hawkeye, glad to hear no heart troubles with little girl.

Rng, Drew's sister is wanting me to load up a trailer load of gennys and drive over.

Glad that Sodamo and Eric got their heavy loads timely, so that the earth's rotation will stay situated. :)

Drew, I got a price of just over $26k for turnkey 36 kW package including transfer switch and buried 500 gallon propane tank. It was sized to fully power everything at the ranch.

Thanks, will check them out

This tracker syncs to an app, so you don’t always have to have the phone with you.

Yup, had one years ago, just clip on belt, put in pocket. Loved it. Withings Pulse Ox. Sadly, the company doesn’t make any more and we haven’t found anything we like. I see they now have a newer model Pulse HR. Might have to check out.
Quick check and not impressed. ☹️

For just steps, my new iPhone has step counter that works with the 2nd app

This tracker is ready to return. I wanted all those steps up the ladder today to count.
I have an old Fitbit that my last company gave me. Too old. (Like me)

Boss said they have some work I can do from home starting around the end of the month. I still haven’t looked at applying for SSDI

Don, I just read in last week's paper (yes, we only get weekly) that a Fedor disposal well was denied permit. One reason was that the local Austin Chalk zone is not permeable enough without added fractures to accept much salt water.
