Good evening all. 54F this morning, clear sky, calm wind. More wind than forecast today, sky stayed clear, and high temp was 78F (no HI). Start this morning with bike ride, needed arm warmers to stay worm . Saturday, if forecast holds will need all cold weather gear for ride, only 2 weeks before was a sweatfest in Bonham :confused2:. Then back to sandburr removal, got 6 plastic bags yesterday and 6 more today then finish mowing that section. Try to get more wood split before rain, fireplace insert ready for fire.
Bird my neighbor who is Dallas retired PD said he was working on medical insurance. Are they changing your medical insurance provider?
Don interesting story on the Georgetown blue, hope your trail blazing goes well, as your fridge shopping.

Failed 2/3 of todays mission.

Did get trailer ready for inspection, but that involved mounting new lights. Took way too long.

Didn’t get inspection - inspector was off today.
No inspection meant no reregistration.

But I was in town and had to drive back anyway, so went to freight agent and picked up backhoe


And drove it home anyway


No unloaded pics due to miscommunication with temp helper. Permanent helper was at dentist.

That non Blue was more than $3K cheaper for almost identical specs and I got a 2nd bucket and a ripper. Hydraulics are separate from tractor which may be a benefit, don’t know.

Takes a special grease, I greased mine and had that issue, was researching online and found it takes a special grease. after my second screw drive GDO wore out, I replaced it with belt drive and no need to grease.

Yup. I think I will do the same. I cannot find my original receipt from way back in 2010 anyway, and they are insisting on seeing it in order to give me a new GDO motor under the “lifetime warranty“.

Looks like today will stay mostly dry. I can't wander far from the house to do things as I'm waiting for a delivery of steel for various autumn and winter projects. Not sure how it will be packed for transport, but I'm hoping I can offload most of it with pallet forks on the Iseki as it totals close to 400 kg.

David, it will be interesting to see more of your backhoe. Does it mount on your 3 point linkage, or on a dedicated frame ? I know nothing about them, they are very rare things in this part of the world.

PJ, is the oil you are using on your guitar the stuff made by Birchwood Casey ? Their "Tru Oil" is sold here for finishing gun stocks.
