Good morning!!!!

Good morning 71 now heading to 80 with rain on the way looks like a week of pleasant weather in the 70's in the forecast.
Took my wife's car for yearly service yesterday and was told it would only be about an hour. The Mercedes has a remote start that is controlled by an app on the cell phone the app also gives you other information from the vehicle such as tire pressure, gas, let's you lock or unlock doors or close windows. Long story short the only feature my wife wanted to work was the start which hasn't since getting the car. We were told that it was a temporary software issue with the server and would be repaired. Well after several calls, and returns to dealership yesterday I was told that a software update was done on the vehicle and it was all set. Wrong after waisting my day, 5 hours I ended up getting a loaner so they could replace a part that wasn't in stock. As a side note when I contacted Mercedes connect my self I was told that all dealership's were advised of the problem and what the fix was 6 months ago. I have not had good luck with dealership's lately.
All In the southeast watch out for the storm and flooding.
Stay safe and enjoy your day

For those with EGO equipment I have heard of 2 incidents (brother and neighbor) where the battery life became prematurely short. The company stands behind their product and my brother got a replacement battery after running some test while customer service was on the telephone, my neighbor has not called yet.

That's interesting. The EGO equipment supposedly has a 5 year warranty and the batteries a 3 year warranty. This month I'm at the 3 year mark for the smaller batteries, 2.4 Ah, for the string trimmer and blower, and no sign of them weakening when I mowed, trimmed, edged, etc. EXCEPT on 8/23 when I was mowing especially tall grass at the neighbor's, I eventually ran down the big battery, 7.5 Ah, and as I've done in the past, I put it on the charger and put one of the small batteries in the mower to finish; however, it wouldn't work. I had to wait for the big battery to charge up a bit to finish. The small batteries have both worked just fine in the string trimmer and blower. Then last week on 8/23, I was mowing our yard and the red light on the mower came on, after I restarted after emptying the grass catcher. That red light normally indicates the battery getting low. However, it kept going just fine until I stopped to empty the grass catcher again, and when I went back to work, no red light. The next time the red light came on, and the mower still going just fine, I just stopped and immediately restarted and no more red light. And of course that big battery was new on 5/24/2018.

Bird, do you find the EGO battery life shorter on really hot days?

I still have my original 5ah battery (use it as a short-life spare) it lasted 5 years before I had to change it out to finish the yard. I bought a new 5ah battery and now can do the entire yard with 25% left. My lawnmower is not self propelled and does not have lights. In the Spring when I scalp the yard It is really tough on the battery and need to recharge it several times.

not very productive visit to insurance agent this morning, but I knew better and no surprise.
No insurance may be bound in this zip code due to incoming hurricane. Same for boats.
So....delivery probably next Tuesday.

now to go out and start taking flags down, figure out what will fly where

I can't say for sure; haven't done any scientific tests, but yes, I do believe it's shorter when run in the heat.

Good Morning Everyone!!!

A humid, overcast 52ºF morning low; an overcast 61ºF presently with increasing humidity with rain cells approaching. I should see temperatures rise into the mid 70ºF's with rain and/or T-storms later. Decent dynamics for possibly strong to severe T-storms with hail. Today looks to be a movie matinee and early bird special dinner kind of day.

My + thoughts, wishes for for Kyle and family, BEF, Randy, Ron and all who have been, are, and will be in the Dorian's path.

Rick, Thanks for the laugh. I was/am surprised as to how many makes and models of those AWD motorized chairs are on the market.

Paul, I wish you and your Wife a belated happy anniversary. I am sorry to read about your Wife's migraine headache and the mower challenges. I hope that you and she can recreate the marriage experience again soon?.. Wifey and I got married in a wine cellar.;)

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

I was thinking of BEF under his Subaru changing the oil when we were on the floor doing contorted pilates moves, I survived for another session.

I expect it looked about the same. Ill have to pull up and save my garage security cam video of the oil change from a wheelchair.

I saved video of friend building my ramp. Guess i could put on youtube in fast motion..

. . . . . .Larro. Good to see you back. You still training for the AP trail? . . . ..
Kind of, sort of, but not really. The only PUDS {pointless ups and downs} in my area are over at Torreya State Park. All their trails and primitive campsites are still closed. I still camp most nights when not working, and will walk 2-3 miles then, but it's slack packing. All my trails around the farm were wrecked too, and if not for the pipeline, I would be doing lots of roadwalk. I'm slowly getting the firebreaks/trails around the pines cleared, so I'll have more options. I feel guilty walking during the day when I could be working, so I mostly nighthike.

Anyway, Margie is not kicking too high, and she doesn't like for me to be gone over a couple of nights.
