Just picked up walker and walked across room and back with no one with me... Till my wife saw me on the other side of room and yelled at me. But she didnt come help, so...

Such a dare devil....

Spent day working on lawyer stuff for Dad.

My disability still not extended again, ended last week again....
Got a call about it, more paperwork i need to fill out. Then DR has to fill out. I told them i was really frustrated by their process, they said i can transfer you to someone to explain the holdup, i then got put in the "all people are busy" queue, up to 20 min wait, so i hung up. Maybe i need add lawyer to handle my disability.

I started using my cane some a few days ago, and short distances with nothing, but not far.

Good evening all. 71F for the start, clear sky, calm wind. Light wind day, partly cloudy, some of the clouds looked like they were raining, high temp 96F, HI 100. Men's meeting, bike ride, mowed the septic field, nap, after dinner, got the boat backed in and off the truck, and sand burr control.

Congrats on the progress, BEF. We’re rooting for yea.

Wish I could say something encouraging about disability, but cant.
When I went thru it with my wife was constantly frustrating, but even moreso after going from short term to long term. Always some new form or inquiry. Particularly annoying that wife’s surgeon would write., “Achieved maximum medical improvement”

Now I tease her as this year she aged out, long term disability ended and SS converted to regular, so I tell her she must not be disabled anymore. Sometimes I duck.

Weird wx day, just enough on and off sprinkles to deter outside stuff.
So decided to make Kalani a little platform to help her get on the bed, she has been reluctant to jump last few days and had trouble getting hind end up. Now have to train her to use it.

Also got a start on my FOPS style sunshade. Got the basic pieces cut. Only got one bandsaw cut when capacitor burned up, so now need to find replacement. Unfortunately no longer listed at Sears Parts.



Likely won’t make any progress for a few days. probably ought to start a dedicated thread.

Good morning, the rain is coming down almost sideways from the west while sunshine is simultaneously shining at almost the same angle from the east. Not sure which will win out the day.

Substitute 30mm spanner arrived and all blades removed, sharpened, balanced and refitted. If the missing spanner is listening, all achieved with skin still intact on my knuckles, which is probably a first.

Wildlife now cleaning up any apples or acorns have fallen can only mean one thing.

Retirement is imminent !

Eric, I'm sure you'll find your wrench now that you've used the replacement.

Tilled and planted 3 food plots yesterday...a mix of oats, wheat, pea, rye, clover, rape and turnip (as Thomas suggested). We're forecasted to get less than half an inch of rain from Dorian, so should be just right to get seeds geminating soon. Also mowed for 2.5 hours once grass dried.

Buppies, that's lots of hot asphalt. Hope things at your beach make it through the storm intact.

Coffee is done brewing. 50° with mostly clear skies this morning. Heading to 73° with mix of sun and clouds. Visitation at funeral home went very well yesterday. Met so many people that I have not seen before or in a long time. It made the day go by with only a few tears. Today will be the funeral service. I have a full pack of hankies in my pocket.

good morning all. Calm before the storm.
Forecast unchanged, rain starts just before noon and on it goes.
Headed down to supermarket with other last minute Louises, forgot a few things, otherwise plan on staying inside for several days and trying to clean
up my office.
First though, I never got around to servicing the chain saws so will do that first thing this morning.

Very glad my niece evacuated Charleston and went to PA with young son. That place is going to be a real mess, such a beautiful city too.

Waiting for the gutter contractor this morning having him check and clean rental, brothers house and mine maybe install gutter guards at least in the back of my house I don't like climbing ladders more than one story any longer to clean them.
