Speaking of wildlife. The cattle egrets have become near constant companions to my mowing/brushhoging. Nearly fearless as to the equipment, sometimes only a couple inches away. Usually I watch as the feast on grasshopper etc that I stir up, but today was different. Not 2 feet away the far one in the pic scored a field mouse. May have to zoom in to see. You can see the body and tail. Had moved a bit as the tractor moved and I got out my phone. Didn’t realize this was part of the diet.

BEF watch for slivers on your feet nice job on the ramp good to see you are getting yourself around
After spending the day looking at Chevy, Ford, Dodge GMC and even the new Jeep Pick Up I have no clue. Don't want cloth seats dog hair will be a night mare and cost for anything with leather so dogs have a nice ride I can't justify. I told my wife I was going to put the money into the Avalanche she responded "Keep Looking" lol.

Thank you all so much for all the well wishes.

Good morning 60 and heading to mid 70's again today.
Not sure what today will bring but thinking of maybe some "window shopping" for a new truck. My avalanche has reached the point of a new aggravation every other day newest is backup camera not working. Really liked the vehicle and hate to spend money on new because it will be full of dog hair on the first day. Any suggestions

Vinyl seats or seat covers? Hope you find something you like.

My neighbor "stole" a 6' x 10' welding / fab table with a 1/2" top, for $250 yesterday. I'll put the pallet forks and 72" fork extensions on the 55 hp tractor and go over and unload it from his trailer later. It probably weighs 1000#.

Calculations put the top at just over #1000lbs. What a bargain.

RNG, were you side milling or facing with the bottom of the endmill? I can't believe that 3/4" diameter endmill is only $84. In our business, that's cheaper than dirt. Many cost closer to $250-400 that diameter, depending on length. Consider buying an endmill with corner radii on the bottom corners. Use it when ever you can. Save your sharp corners for final finish passes to preserve the corners.

PJ, hope things calm down with the drama. Take it easy. Same for you guys healing.....Take it easy. After all, that's what the song says to do...

Prayers for all, especially Betty.

Thanks. I keep the feet rests off of the chair in the house, they take too much room. I keep them at top of ramp, to put on if im in garage. I go down ramp holding wheels. I use side railings to pull myself up ramp. Guy is coming back to sand railings. I bought material, he built free, but i gave him gas money.

Good luck on truck search. Glad my 08 is low mileage. I dont know what i would buy these days.

Take it easy.. I'll lay in my corner, standing is too much work, lol.

Entered 3 months of charge receipts in quicken, got all bills paid to date. Tomorrow reconcile cc statements. Filed paid bills, exercised. Who has time to go to work?

PT called, not coming tomorrow. Said a PT lady would call about coming thursday. He's got me working more on walking muscle movement. Weight shift while standing. Right leg still wobbly.

I need to replace my 08 truck also sometime soon or next year. Since I don't need to pull a tractor I can go midsize and the midsize I'm leaning to is the new Ford Ranger so far. It can still tow 7000 pounds.

I just took off the Country seat covers off my '08 "Country" Truck and the seats looks like new so another +1 on seat covers. The seat covers I had looked and felt like an ironing board cover and were kind of water resistant like Sunbrella fabric. With the custom made seat covers that are made now with velcro ties you can really get a good looking tight fit. I had taken them off once before and thew them in the washing machine and they clean up nicely.

Well my luck ran out. Lost 4 of 5 card games and slipped to at least 20th place.

For all those in Texas that re-new your drivers license something NEW has started. You have to have on record a scanned passport or birth certificate before they will renew your license. My mom and about half of the people at the county DMV were sent away to obtain documents before any renewal is considered. The renewal letter they send out is very vague just saying that proof of citizenship is needed. (Note: my mom did have the gold star DL so I just assumed they already had her citizenship checked)

68 currently. 82 today. A couple of showers but nothing like yesterday. Rain most of the day. Haven’t checked gauge yet.

Finished stumping and topping today. Now just need to get everything hauled to landing and sawed to log length. Plans were to pack it, but there’s too much for that. So I’ll drag in tree length and then chop up.

Picked up new culvert today. Old one started falling through a year ago. Excavator had to walk over it so I had him swing around and dig it out the last time over.
