Good morning!!!!

Operation BEFCON1 is complete. Got home it was raining. Wife did not want to drive on right garage, too tight. And, dont think there would have been room for me to unload from passenger side. Will need to ride in rear driver side for garage use, and move more stuff for wife to pull into garage.

So waited for rain to lighten up, and friends came to help since drive is gravel. Once in garage, was fine. New ramp works great.

Tight fit into bath, but it worked. Cant turn chair in front of seat. Have to do a 180° transfer with chair in doorway. It worked, but not OT approved method.

Bed ready on FR.

Thanks again for the helicopter and fire engine support, couldnt have pulled off the op without you.View attachment 618268

So glad you're home. And glad you have friends to come help and give support. Need RNG to rig you a motor in that wheel chair. Keep getting better, day by day. Please.

Sodamo, nice pics of beating back the jungle. I'm trying to imagine mowing a postcard view.

Drew, glad you found the NewDrewmobile. Schnazzy.

Ron, my Aunt had everything planned, down to the songs and scripture she wanted read. A different Uncle (her brother) had a nice thick file at the front of his file cabinet that had everything in it. Passwords, Will, Funeral wishes, Insurance info, all banking PIN and account numbers, credit card, vehicle titles, social security info, ......His son told us how much "weight" that took off of his shoulders at the time.

Prayers for all.

My ears are ringing. Sinus is part of it. Tinnitus is I guess, the rest.

Took wifey to San Marcos to ride the glass bottom boats. Really unique springs bubbling into a beautiful lake. Long ago, they dammed it up to make it a bit deeper. Holy cow there are a lot of lunker large mouth bass.

We had a good time.

J, hope you guys are having fun.

RNG, not sure what kind of oil would evaporate??? I sure would love to ride that route you went on the other day.

LS, hope the knee is not bothering you too much, and the move ins are getting situated.

Hawkeye, how is your daughter?

I better go to bed before Eric or Roy get up. :)

44 right now...high of 73 today...great day for outdoors work!
Today's chores definitely involve a dump run and getting fuel for the mower. Since I was in CT the last three days, and wifey and stepdaughter went to Maine on Friday, I'll probably just hang with Bella (who was very excited when I walked in the front door) today...drink a few beers and enjoy the weather. Looks good for mowing tomorrow.

Buckeye, great to read about your great escape with military precision! I may have missed this, but I believe Toppop (Randy) is home too?

Drew, that's a seriously nice RV...and $99K might be a good deal for you, but it's way about my budget! And, on a Mercedes chassis! If that gas or diesel?

You guys have a great day!

Glad your home BEF!
Things are going good around here. The humidity is finally supposed to drop today.
Lots of activity this weekend including a new mower and snow blower attachment for my father in law at the apartment house. The old one made it close to 14 years. I will grab some pictures after it is delivered.
Didn't get the backhoe this weekend so no wall work, maybe next week. Found a huge yellow jacket nest in one of the bushes next to the house. Will attack that when it gets a little colder. Oh well need another coffee and then start working...I need to retire so I can get these projects done.
Hope everyone is safe and healthy this week.

good morning all. Much cooler weather has moved in, 71 now with high only in 70's today with more showers coming in.
Not sure what I will get done today, probably work on machinery.

Roy, it's a small V6 diesel engine that MB has made millions of for the Sprinter delivery vans, allows this rv to get 15-17 mpg instead of 9mpg in my last one.
25 feet is pretty small when compared to most motorhomes, which usually run in the 26 to 45 foot range. This is the smallest fully equipped
rv I could find. I've never owned a MB anything all my life but happy to own their truck chassis. The engine is a bit puny for this weight, but rv'ing is life in the slow lane anyway. Had no idea I'd find a new rv at the show, just thought I'd be looking around. Now I can go on trips this Fall, plus definitely a trip this winter down to Florida to see my friends who have retired there. Then next April, intend to head West. Will be sitting down with my friends in Delaware who have made this trip many times and they will show me the good places to stop.

Time to get a separate thread on this. A lot more work to do on this map.

My biggest lurking question, with all kinds of emotional issues for me, is do I go from California to Hawaii to see my second wife, who I haven't talked to in 20 years. She is emotionally disabled and living with her daughter. Might be a real tar baby for me...well, have a long time to think about it.
If one doesn't fly, getting out to Hawaii is not so easy. I have a good breast stroke though...;)

Hope you all have a nice weekend.
buckeye, how did you sleep?
