68°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 87° today with more t-storms expected this afternoon. I could already see tall clouds on the western horizon during my drive to work.

Good luck with your audit, Roy. Hope your coworkers make it easy.

71°F and .74 inches rain.
Nice visit with friends yesterday. They have been busy on house they bought down in last years lava flow area.
Got the radiator screen and dried grasses blown out and replaced my found stabilizer, otherwise not very productive. And I did sketch out a FOPs style sunscreen I’m going to build. Not that I need a FOPs, but like the idea of the front supports.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Really getting tired of this place. Wrong breakfast and lunch.
Friday cant come fast enough.

Finally got thru to Disability rep. He extended me 2 wks from last week, until he gets more paperwork. Nothing from my other calls got to him. What a screwed up process.

FIL was up eating this morning, doing ok.

Checking In From Piseco Lake, NY:

The kayaks finally got some water action the past two days. The eaglets have fledged from their island nest.:( Our two 9’6” kayaks are really not ideal for open lake water, wind, and wind driven waves, but we made the one mile paddle out to the island and discovered that this year’s eaglets have already fledged :(, but the adults are still around. A lot of beaver activity on the feeder streams, but we were able to reach our normal objectives. My favorite 13 mile (one way) trip up Fall Stream is no longer possible for this old, fat, and lazy kayaker who is probably now unable to portage over the numerous reported beaver dams upstream.
:(:embarrassed:, but I took advantage of today’s downtime to figure out a couple of more hopefully beaver dam/obstacle-free Adirondack kayaking adventures nearby. We are getting along well with our golfing BIL/GF. All’s good on this end.

Farmer- Good luck with your Son’s respiratory challenges. Almost all those bronchodilator meds cause excitation. :( My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for your Son, you, and family.

I hope all those on the mend keep mending

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers especially for those undergoing medical care and treatment and more so for RonJH and Betty.

good to hear your FIL is doing better Buckeye.
Ron, thanks, Hershey is a long haul for me, but a big show.
Am studying the exhibitor list and it says which models are coming.
That is how I hope to spend this afternoon, staying cool and looking at rv's online.

Been on backup gen for last half hour, a weekly occurrence here, front came through with some rain, and likely
windy conditions and down came the lines. I put my head out my front door, listen for my next door neighbor's kohler whole house gen running,
and then call it in. Power company is good here, reliability not so hot. I keep an eye on voltage with an inexpensive receptacle mount LED meter.

Except for hospitalizations I have been coming here and exploring the area since 1976. Most years I/We have visited several times during different seasons. It’s been an interesting experience seeing the evolution of the lake; the plant and wildlife; and its surroundings areas. Every day, every visit is different and a gift from Nature.

Actually any day anywhere talking down to the grass rather than up is a gift.;)

Good news about the FIL. Boy do I understand your impatience with waiting for discharge day! My longest hospital stay was for 6 weeks after a motorcycle accident 40 years ago. I still get anxious going anywhere near a hospital or rehab. It will be over soon and the real healing at home will begin in earnest. Good Luck.

Frank

Thanks Frank.

Cant wait to get home. Been 6 weeks, 2 days. 2 more to go.

91° out and storms popping up around. Supper wrong also, expected that. Tomorrow food will be wrong, as i filled out the 2 days orders at same time.

Little league world series on weather delay, lightning too close, no rain.

Hang in there, Buckeye!
Toughest thing I had to relearn (after a stroke the paralyzed my right side) was walking up and down stairs...I can do it, but still need to watch myself

Finally home and all caught up on all the chores.
Came home to high grass at both homes, a stove that didn't work which I'm still waiting for parts, 3 birthdays one was the wife's, a picknic for the PD and 4 dogs that don't want to let me out of their sight after almost 3 weeks away.

Now trying to catch up on " Good Morning".

Randy good to hear that you are improving and home the stints make a world of difference, I have 3 since 2001, valve replacement will make you a new man, better warn the new bride have her start going to the gym so she will be able to keep up with you.

BEF keep up with the improvement great PT report. I do think the air lift would make a better getaway story than a green firetruck.

Prayers for Ron, Betty and farmers son.

I'm sure I missed a lot of what's going on and now need to go back and do a better job of reviewing the post's.

Looks like some rain heading in reports that it will be accompanied by strong winds up to 60 mph.Time to play with the dogs before it gets here.

Roy - I lived east of York itself off of Mount Rose. I moved away in 95. Didn稚 really go back for a while, but get to York a couple of times a year now.

Yep, I know the area

I've been in Vermont 5 years and sometimes I wish we'd stayed in Pennsylvania. I've heard York has really gone to **** and Red Lion is pretty bad...not that Red Lion was so good when we lived in Felton and Windsor.

Before we moved to Vermont, I looked into a number of QA jobs in western PA...had a few offers, but wifey wasn't thrilled about the areas (NW PA...lake effect snow heaven!)

Improvement should be better once you get home and get a good nights sleep. My brief visits to hospitals caused me to get so tired, not ever being able to sleep uninterrupted for more than an hour or 2 tops. Prayer for continued improvements.

My longest hospital stay was for 6 weeks

Mine, too. Six weeks when I was 8 years old to fix polio damage to my left foot and ankle. Then back again for another week a few years later.
