Checking In From Piseco Lake, NY:
The kayaks finally got some water action the past two days. The eaglets have fledged from their island nest.

Our two 9’6” kayaks are really not ideal for open lake water, wind, and wind driven waves, but we made the one mile paddle out to the island and discovered that this year’s eaglets have already fledged

, but the adults are still around. A lot of beaver activity on the feeder streams, but we were able to reach our normal objectives. My favorite 13 mile (one way) trip up Fall Stream is no longer possible for this old, fat, and lazy kayaker who is probably now unable to portage over the numerous reported beaver dams upstream.

:embarrassed:, but I took advantage of today’s downtime to figure out a couple of more hopefully beaver dam/obstacle-free Adirondack kayaking adventures nearby. We are getting along well with our golfing BIL/GF. All’s good on this end.
Farmer- Good luck with your Son’s respiratory challenges. Almost all those bronchodilator meds cause excitation.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for your Son, you, and family.
I hope all those on the mend keep mending
My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers especially for those undergoing medical care and treatment and more so for RonJH and Betty.
