Does everyone here, that has a Texas drivers license, have the Gold star on it making it a "Real ID" as required for airline travel starting Oct 2020.

Nope, ours do not. However, since we have no expectation of flying again, or leaving the USA I reckon it's not a big deal.

Ron, glad to hear good news about Betty.

After getting very little sleep night before last because of the side effects of the Shingrix shot, then going to Ft. Worth yesterday for the big "baby shower" party for our grandson and his wife, I was tired enough when we got home yesterday afternoon, that I had some chills and went to bed about 5 p.m. and I slept longer and more soundly than I have in a long time; got up at 5 a.m. this morning.

Very possible Bird. My cottage tenants wife had reaction to first shingrix shot, her husband and I didn’t but we both had reaction to second shot whereas she didn’t. I’d describe mine as almost flu like. Only lasted 24-36 hours.

I don't think I'll tell my wife about that and scare her. She had no side effects this first shot, although we both have a very sore arm from that shot.

washed both Masseys and squirted off my truck. That's enough for today, now some quiet time.
Did find a little eye opener when lubing tractor after wash. This time made sure pin head was facing mostly forward and vertical.

74 this morning and headed to 88 today. HI 81 headed to 103. Last day of heat warnings.

Didn’t do much yesterday. Walked birds yesterday morning and came in not feeling good. Laid around most of afternoon and then moved cows and walked birds again. About 6:30 took boys bowling with my mom and nieces. Then to supper at the Japanese show cooking place. Kids loved it and slept good last night.

Think I’m going to try to get garden planting finished this morning. And try to save some of first planting. Green beans are blooming but they’ve had a rough life. Need to check zucchini as it is blooming also. Doesn’t take much for it to get too big. Planting cucumbers and more green beans. Then worry about birds.

Ron good news she’s home.

BEF you’re next to come home.

Good morning
84 in the shade now heading to 100 with heat index to 115.
Busy day planned mother in law is heading for placement preparing for our trip going a week early so my wife can get a little rest before leaving she had been looking for to this trip for years.
It's also my youngest birthday today even at 25 she still knows she is Daddy's Little girl lol. Usually have party for her and my son at the same time, they are 363 days apart, his birthday is on Tuesday unfortunately he is working tonight. For 2 days we always told them they were twins.
Toppop I replaced with vinal a few years ago and never had a problem still looks good and no painting.
Ron good to hear that Betty is home.
BEF prayers for improvement.
Drew careful in the heat.

83 going to 100. Need rain.

Yesterday was 104 (40C, Eric) on my wife's vehicle thermometer on the way home. Didn't feel that hot...had been walking around a small car show at my in-laws' assisted living community...they had a live band, ice cream and hot dogs, too. Many seniors walking around outside, but they moved most everything indoors except the cars and ice cream truck.

Buppies, sounds like the date is getting close for your son.

BEF, I bet this round of treatment will do the trick!

Thomas, glad Boo Boo is feasting somewhere else.

David, sounds like paradise!

Good Sunday Morning. It was 73°F and very foggy this morning with our 98% humidity. Forecast indicates 97°F this afternoon. They're still forecasting a very welcome cool down and rain for this week.

Ron .... glad your Mrs. is improving.

Drew .... enjoy your "Texas Summer" Days! . We get three months of it. Glad you caught the issue on your stabilizer.

BEF ..... prayers for you IV treatment to give you good results.

Eric .... in Texas we grow our cucumbers ...... pickled and in jars. Saves time.

Thomas .... Boo Boo may be scheming the Grand Breaking and Entering Plan!

Roy .... I had a house full of ladies, wife and three daughters for 20+ years. Day to day .... I was either a King .... or the goat. No in between.

Hope everyone has a relaxing Sunday.

Prayers to all.

83 going to 100. Need rain. <- what buppies said applies here too. Pool level has dropped an inch over the w/e. And no cannonballs were involved.

Weed whacked yesterday and more this AM. Still got the front and gullies to do.

Hope all are on the mends. Speedier recovery thoughts sent.

Have a great day, be safe.

Good morning to all! Low of a balmy 64, definitely can feel higher humidity (probably still really low compared to everywhere else). Going up to 92 today, 20% chance of a storm. Cold front moving across tonight, high tomorrow is predicted to only go up to 79 and a 40% chance of a storm. Rest of the week forcasted for low to mid 80's.... A welcome relief.

Ron, glad Betty is home.

BEF, hang in there, prayers sent for the treatment to work quickly and effectively!

Spoke w/ the son last evening, both he and DIL are excited. They are finishing packing everything up today, pick up the moving truck and trailer for his jeep tomorrow, and be underway on Tuesday.

I have been neglecting the landscaping duties for a while, hopefully I can get some time to do it during the brief relief from the heat tomorrow!

Hope everyone has a great Sunday! Enjoy the day and stay out of the heat!
