Good morning
82 in the shade heading to the upper 90's to 100 today may even set new high temperature record this weekend.
Busy few days back and forth to the lake helping wife. Heading back this morning have to get in the water and fix irrigation pump, needs new hose clamps sprung a leak the other day. Wife is mad that the grass is not getting watered, less water it gets less cutting for me .
Also putting guide posts on the lift dock make it easier to park for my son while I'm on vacation, jet boat doesn't steer well at low speed.
Placing wife's mom in a memory care facility for when we are away, may become permanent getting harder for my wife who has MS and dealing with her own medical problems.
Well that's my story for today.
Have a good day everyone stay cool and safe.

Bird your problems seem to be all side effects of the Shingrex vaccination.
Shingrix Side Effects: Common, Severe, Long Term - Drugs.com

That's what I've assumed. My wife has had no side effects except a very sore arm and shoulder.

Bird, was that the first shingrex shot or the second? We've had the first (no side effects that I recall) but are due the second in a few months.

It was our first, and they said they'll call to remind us that the second shot is due in 2 months.

Good morning to all! Low went to a nice 62, going up to 93 today. That will be cool compared to other areas in NM: 107 for Roswell and Carlsbad, 101 nearby in Albuquerque. Another reason to live up here near the mountains. Humidity is at a high 44% this morning, up from 12% yesterday. Nothing like you guys east of here!

Ron, I hope Betty feels better this morning, prayers sent.

BEF and Randy, prayers for you guys to get better too!

We are getting down to the wire for the arrival of our son this week, probably Thursday afternoon. We are excited, but still have a bunch of "stuff" to clear out. I'll be glad once we are done getting 'prepared' !!

Pear jelly, preserves, and pies were one of my favorites growing up. We had a big pear tree and it was one of my 'jobs' as a kid to pick the pears, along with the peaches, plums, cherries, gooseberries, and blueberries. My parents loved fruit trees / shrubs. So did I. We have planted a few fruit trees out here and all have died within a few years. Too hot, too dry, and soil is too alkaline.

Well, have to get after it some more..... Everyone have a great weekend!

BEF, prayers for you, I know it’s disheartening but hang in my friend.

Second day of stiff sore knees but I think I just overdid stuff earlier in the week.

Cruise in tonight but it’s supposed to reach 100 today, so not sure I’ll attend.

I hope you all have the best day you can.

Missing toddler drove himself down to the county fair on his toy tractor - CNN

this is funny, article same day as my friend sends me this pic, of identical JD toy I gave to him two years ago so his grandkids
could play with it. They have just now been promoted to "high speed", meaning the lockout has been removed.
Needless to say I sent that article to my friend and the boy's parents.

86 this morning and headed to 93 today. HI 101 headed to 106. Excessive heat warnings till tomorrow.

Been a busy couple of days. Finished getting ready for birds then yesterday they all showed up.

After lunch I got a phone call that someone had donated 100 small squares to the horse riding program that the boys ride in. So went out to help put that on a trailer. Got there and the farmer was expecting us to also pickup his hay. So we had 230 bales to load. Nobody was impressed with him.

I’ve got chickens to walk and then think wife is taking some yard sale stuff to laundry mat. So I’ll be keeping the kids. Gots to get rids of some junk.

Hopefully everyone starts mending.

RNG. I believe loader work is the reason my front wheel seal let go. Because bearing was also bad. 1330 hours in 3 1/2 years. 1300 in 4wheel drive. And probably ~700 hours of loader work. You will thank LS for not making their tractor car like. After you learn about the emissions systems. If you don’t want emission problems keep your rpm’s above 1500. Just get in the habit of idling when you get off the seat. Mines a gear tractor so I already have to use the hand or foot throttle for speed. Short idle periods are fine. But long idle times just shut it off. BIL has the 4066R and he says the same thing. Rpm’s above 1500.

helper has left, too hot to work outside, plus I didn't feel well until I drank half a zero calorie sports drink.
Then felt immediately better. Body is talking to me.
Helper works on pig farm and said pigs are dying from heat

93/108 at noon. Lost power for over an hour late yesterday afternoon, thank goodness for backup gens.
