Good morning!!!!

Rick, we did AMA Danube cruise a couple years ago, loved it. Much more personal than the big boats. SIL is gluten free and they made sure she had options. When a member of our small group didn’t like the wine, another wine was bought next stop. Not nickeled and dimed like the big boats either. We started in Germany ended in Budapest.

Some close friends, who had been on several "river cruises" told us they'd tried the "well known" line and then went on an AMA line cruise. They told is that that ratio of crew to passengers was much higher on the AMA Boats.

We've been exceptionally pleased with the level of service on the AMA Boats and we're starting to plan our next trip.

Rick, I don’t know about the ratio ( the other line managed to hit a bridge and kill someone as we cruised) but the AMA service was excellent.
Wife and I were met at 1115 on shore and first on the boat. Apologies that room wouldn’t be ready but feel free to enjoy lounge etc. Very nice lunch (with Gluten free selections) included and very few people actually arrived before 3PM. On the day we disembarked, they actually made taxi reservations for those that wanted them. Again, we got to hang out in the lounge as our cab wasn’t needed until about 3pm. Showed up about 15 minutes early, but we were told no need to hurry that he would wait (without meter running) I did note that day’s buffet lunch did not include gluten free and SIL had already disembarked so I’m guessing new group didn’t require.

Where you going next?
Thought the African trip looked interesting, but what a budget buster.

Good morning. Starting off dry, with rain expected later this afternoon. I am on standby to go help a friend get his bales stacked and temporarily covered if the baling contractor can arrive in time.

Wng, when I tried putting normal food colouring in the spray tank a couple of years ago, it didn't show up enough.

BEF, sorry to hear there is no improvement as yet. We will still be thinking of you, even if you can't post while in rehab.

RNG, I had a test drive in a 4066R last year. It was in at the dealer for service, I forget the hours it had done, looked like it was worked hard every day and was still going strong, showing that some serious users do think it worthwhile to pay the extra to go green. Those external forward/reverse nudge buttons are a nice touch, though since Ron showed me how easy it is once you park implements on a dolly, I doubt I would get much use out of them.

Once you have a self levelling loader, it could be a never ending source of regret to go back to one without, especially if our ageing bodies get less inclined to cooperate. Also, with all the extra zerks, you get to enjoy more quality time with your grease gun

76 outside this AM. Heading to upper 90s today. Here cometh the heat wave. Will prepare to sit in the pool accordingly. Although the grass continues to taunt me.

Have a great day. Be safe. Hope all are getting better.

66 right now...high in the low 80's...and T-storms today.

Thought I had corrected my internet connection problems...but I hadn't...still working on it...

sticky 78 degrees going up to 97 today, sort of defines H&H
disappointing trip to ENT yesterday, second opinion, top guy at another practice, seemed to confirm tinnitus portion of Meniere's disease basically untreatable beyond what I've done. No magic bullets. Both Buckeye and I would like one of those right now, worrisome he is in rehab without good recovery, prayers for entire family.

Still haven't found someone local with a pool. This is not a wealthy area so not a lot of swimming pools around...
South Florida weather is here, no choice but to go from a/c house to a/c car to a/c store/office.
At 103 degrees my hot tub just isn't that refreshing...which reminds me I have to shock it again, this heat eats up chemicals, but not as bad
as an open pool.

75 going to 97.

Get well, BEF!

River cruises sound really nice. I get the brochures in the mail often and look through them...I love geography and maps, and it's a small way to brush up on where the rivers flow, rather than just national borders...didn't realize that some of you had cruised on these rivers and enjoyed it.

Happy birthday, Kalani!

RNG, sounds like you're doing a smart, patient shopping job on the tractor.

I split my firewood and stacked it yesterday..only 4 pulls on the starter rope. Also mowed the last section...newly sharpened blades and cleaned out deck make it such a pleasure, even in the heat.

Can't find my receiver hitch...need to move the trailer, and searched for an hour in the late afternoon heat...was not in the usual place...nor in the many unusual places I searched. I don't lose things very often, so this really worked on my mind...as well as my body...getting drenched from just sweating in the humidity. Will start fresh again this morning.

This talk about cruises reminds me that one of my unlikely bucket list items
was to take a Cunard line cruise to England and back. Gosh is that expensive if you want a nice room with
a balcony. Like buying a small car...

And once in England, take the Chunnel and go on one of those river cruises.
I get those flyers every few months too, glossy things with great pics on them.
And everyone seems to have fun, pretty stable ride, more like a floating house.
I don't fly so getting there had better be half the fun...

Fairly committed to rv'ing next year. I've never been out West and that's my priority, making it to California finally.
From proverbial sea to shining sea...
Maybe cruise the next year. Hopefully I will have met someone to do it with...
Really nice some of you have gone on these cruises. The Alaska one sounds wonderful.
When I get to California, pretty sure taking ship over to Hawaii. Have family there, including an ex wife, who
I may or may not see.

David, is there a ferry between the Hawaiian Islands?
May be much further than I think...though clearly I like boat rides.
