Good morning! 79˚F heading to the high 90s. Early morning clouds. Painting in the oven was non eventful which is always good. I used a 6" foam roller followed by a brush to get in the boards grove and to smooth out the roller marks. The sheen I chose was SATIN. Three ceiling coats in a day is a job for the young but it's done now. I get to strike another project off the list after I put the fan blades back on and remove the blue tape this morning.

Ahh... the fresh scent of air in the morning.... smells like VICTORY.

Seems like day two is odor free. And a nice breeze is blowing. Managed to cut some grass late last night. More on tap today.

wngsprd, yes on the location. My property sits close to the ordnance disposal area. <---LOL

Ahh.. for all you fine gentlemen with bears, my Coni-bear traps are not that big. LOL. We do have one about our neighborhood. So far it has only managed to feast on one trash bag I stupidly left in the pickup one night. I have more coyote sightings then bears. Although two managed to get themselves killed by tractor trailers not too far from here. I'd say the population is on the rise.

It's about 74 outside right now, heading to low 80's. Nice breeze, perfect for lawn duties. Other than that, just a general day to de-stress.

We got a little frost this morning 31° yesterday was partly cloudy and windy, it was in the upper 60's for the high. We got a pretty good shower when the cold front came through. Today is going to be in the mid 50's and mostly sunny with some winds. It doesn't look like summer is here yet.

Just been trying to get things done around here and helping a couple of the neighbors out the last few days.

Good morning to all! Low of 46, going up to 85 today, breezy, but for once that is a good thing. We have a heavy smoke 'fog' blowing into our area from a wildfire down south outside of Pheonix. Visibility is way down and stinky. Maybe the breeze will clear it out. The sunrise was really neat this morning due to the smoke, the sun was really red.

You guys with bears have a challenge! Resourceful creatures that adapt quickly to changing environment/ food conditions. Hopefully they will just visit and not decide to take up close residence!

I've been really busy trying to get needed projects done, hard to do with the knee disability. Still swelling and painful just after a couple of hours. Rest, elevate for a bit, then try again.

Had the first injection of the "lubricant" in the knee to see if it will help with the internal irritation of the knee joint. I asked the Doc if he could install a zerk instead of using that monster needle....he looked at me strangely....he didn't know what a zerk was...mmmmm..

He stated that I probably wouldn't feel any relief from this first shot (it was the first of a series of 3 weekly shots). He was definitely correct...if anything, its worse. I guess time and 2 more shots will tell. I just hope someone would be able to figure why the knee won't heal...

Good Morning. It was already 82°F at 6 a.m. with 91% humidity. Today is another Heat Advisory Day. High is forecast to be 95° and our heat index should pass 100°F easily before noon. But ... it is the first day of Summer.

Mowing, with ZT, around the house this morning before it gets really hot.

I have a dinner meeting, in West Houston, this evening so .... will hit the road by about 4 p.m. so I can make a stop at Sam's Club.

Don ... ceiling looks great.

66°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 87° today. Expecting some rain around mid-day and early afternoon. Sunset here is scheduled for 8:27 today, according to my iThingie.

Got some of the grass mowed yesterday evening after work. Hopefully get another chance to finish it sometime this weekend.

Have to make a "field trip" to a regional customer to resolve a quality complaint today. On the bad side, it's about an hour-and-a-half drive from work. On the good side, it's about a half-hour drive to get home. Not exactly looking forward to it, but it will result in an early Friday end.

Wife and I were talking about potentially changing banks, too, RNG. Our little local bank was recently bought out by some bigger company called Busey, out of Chicago. They are already making changes that we're not particularly fond of, and they haven't even changed the signs yet.

Jbrumberg: I remembered that you are a fan of good smokehouse / BBQ and promised to let you know when one opened in my area. Taino Smokehouse finally opened in Meriden CT. its Address 1388 East Main St. Just about 1/2 mile from I 91 easy trip from Mass. So far it has received good reviews but I cant give a recommendation yet I haven't stopped in yet.

Skunks, Bear and Copperheads so far this year haven't seen any as long as it stays wet the Copperheads will stay in the rocks on the mountain behind my house but if we have a long dry spell I will see them by the water faucets on the side of my house. So far this year only a large black sneak terrorizing my daughter sunning on her back steps

Well off to Home Depot my wife has a few projects planned for me this weekend.
