Good morning to all! Low of 38, only up to 46 currently, shooting for a high of 68.... Very cool for us this time of year, about 15-20 degrees below the average.... I 'm not complaining at all! We could use some rain, starting to really dry out. It's really overcast and cool almost looks like a shower / t-storm is building.

14.5 tons of gravel just got delivered, pile looks really small....it was definitely a full tandem axle truckload...hopefully it will be enough to do want I want to do. Got 1" minus road base at $16 / ton delivered, I guess not too bad of a price.

Looks like I'll get some seat time today, gonna have to wear my flannel jacket....really cool outside!

Ron, that's a nice pic, beautiful area / lake. How far is your place from the lake? How is fishing there?

Drew, baby those 'taters....can't let them get too over baked... When were you planning to harvest? Hope you get some rain soon.

May have made a wrong turn yesterday. While returning from HD yesterday afternoon got struck about a dozen cars back at intersection - right in front of LS dealer. Just happened to have 2 MT125s sitting there. Rarely see the tractors sitting there so I figured perhaps a good time to stop and ask questions. So I did. Seems he has several more models in the warehouse, including the one that interests me, XR4140H. I was surprised to learn the price was in my budget window. My thinking has been to look at tractors next year, but now my brain is trying to dissuade me. Wife didn’t comment when I mentioned, but I’m sure that’s being influenced by the propane line not being done.

Ron, that's a nice pic, beautiful area / lake. How far is your place from the lake? How is fishing there?

The lake in picture is 2 miles from my house. Closest lake is less than 1/4 mile away.
Fishing is good in most of the lakes. Weekends can be difficult because of the other sports using the lakes. Kent lake in picture has a speed limit of 10 mph. Makes it a good place for fishing any time.

We really like our XR3135HC, David. LS is certainly worth a look. They sell you a lot of tractor for the money.

76 degrees this morning, going for a windy 83 and a 90% chance of rain this afternoon and tonight. And of course we sure don't need the rain.

Well, the weather forecast was right. The rain started just about 1:00 p.m. and the TV programming changed to a weatherman discussing the possibility of tornadoes, the city's warning siren was blaring, supposedly some places had hail and high winds, flooding, etc. We just had relatively light winds and heavy rain for awhile. I got another 1.15" in my gauge. And there's supposed to be more rain coming.

brother in New Hope PA, Bucks County, just emailed me, tornado alert, get to shelter, first one he's had of those in a long time.
Nasty storms heading through that area, missed here entirely.
Brutally hot here, and tomorrow, then cooling a little.
I watered most of morning, overbaked by sun, wilted by heat, but did see first watermelons starting today.
Carpet cleaners just left, jeez what a long day. Was going out to water again but zero energy.
Someone needs to water me instead...

Love this time of year, 70s-80s daytime, cooling off to mid 50s at night.. had a break between meetings at work this morning, so went out and finished mowing lawn (started it the other day with my granddaughter). Wife sprayed for bugs a few hours later (we have had black flies bite the granddaughter on back of neck, leaves a bloody mess, itches).

I woke up the black flies when I mowed today. When they got really annoying I fired up a cigarette and they soon left.
