No cats / litterbox....both of the dogs won't even really get close to any poop, let alone eat it. My neighbor's dogs are always munching down...that's usually from a dietary insufficiency.

Good evening all. 60F this morning mostly overcast, light wind. Sky started to clear mid morning, then clouded back up mid afternoon, wind mostly light with a few puffs over 10 mph, and high temp 74F. bike ride this morning, gravel pavement mix. Getting refurb etrex configure the way I want it, initial testing of phone notification went well, next to try on real ride.
Don thanks for link, a lot of brush is cleared from home owners/POA land, still areas that are adjacent but private owned outside our area not nearly as much.

Ted good to hear pup is doing better, after 2 weeks off from dog sitting, back in the barrel starting Monday.
Lynn sounds like a lot of work on that fence.
Would be nice if public service commissions were smart enough to provide some constructive oversight

Part of the reason the flooding was so bad in '93 was the length of time the river was over flood stage. Parts of Iowa had thunder storms for over 2 months straight. Levies were trying to hold back floods for 3 months, failures started after about 3 weeks. Not enough room for Mississippi River near downtown STL, backing up river upstream :confused2

Just spent a couple hours strumming guitars with my 13 yo daughter. Man, I'm rusty. My fingertips are wore out. But it's fun.

This morning, my neighbor called the sheriff about the stray cows on my place (he knows they don't belong), hoping they had a staff cowboy to come and rope them. After making some calls, finally found the owners. The 2 young cows are tame and can be bridle walked. The wife just kind of chased/led/hurded them back to their place. They actually jumped 2 fences to get over to my place. My neighbor told me I should fence around my home and get some cows....he said they'd be the happiest cows in the county on our place. I told him, "I don't have to worry about my hay getting out into the road so much."

Went to see Avenger movie. Pretty good. 3 hours.

Took the family for a gator ride, picked about a quart or more of dewberries. They are thin at our place this year, but we got enough for a cobbler.

28 °F and going to a high of 64. Wind NE 7 mph. Mainly sunny.

The cool overnight temps will hopefully slow the spring melt down a tad.

The parts came in for the bed, so that will happen today.

I have some puttering around to do outside while the bed is getting 're-built'.
One day soon I will need to sharpen the mower blades and get that ready for summer AND I still have the downed tree to deal with.

51 right now going nowhere fast. Slight drizzle coming down so I might as well embrace the wetness and pressure wash the outside furniture and the implements I used this winter. Also started cleaning up the plow. Hasn’t been worked on in quite a while. Health and happiness wish for all.

Started with the pistons.

47 right now...high about 60.

If it's dry enough, I'll probably mow this afternoon. I did drop the snow blower and plow off the tractor yesterday and rigged the bucket on the loader. Thinking about it, rather then mow, I'll see what I can do about the ruts along the drive (resulted from plowing last winter...the plow's skid shoes dug in some places. We'll see how it goes...

62 now, 70 later, fog, overcast and rain today.

Went to see the band last night, after a TX Roadhouse dinner.
I was very impressed with their rendition of Seven Bridges Road, by the Eagles. Very difficult acapella harmony. Stayed for 2 1/2 hours, that was an hour too much for a tired old man to have to drive 30 miles home. But had a great time.

Mom was better than she had been in a couple of weeks after they dropped some of her meds at my request.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 37° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 69° with lots of sun. Yesterday turned out to be a perfect spring day. Sold my JD rotary cutter with in minutes of posting on Facebook Marketplace. Got to load it on a 2020 Chevy Silverado side rails.

Cut the lawn with new Gator Blades installed. Lawn looks good. Need to see how they preform when grass is thinker and longer. Have a bunch of Spirea shrubs to plant today. Then move some attachments around in barn now that rotary cutter is not occupying it's old space.

Listed my Core Aerator also. But did not sell yet. Need to find out where Best Choice Implements went and where to get parts for their products to get top dollar for it. See my post on that subject.

LS, hope your dog is feeling better.

Kyle, keeping hay off road is much easier than cows. :thumbsup: Checked out the dewberry patch in my field. Looks like it will be a good year if I can get to them before the deer.

PJ, We stayed at Carlyle Dam West a few times. Our friends from Breese sent us pictures of the registration office at Dam West flooded. That has to be well over 30' rise in water level from when we stayed there.
