Good morning all,

43 with a blue sky and no wind. My bride and I just finished our morning walk up the lane. If I remember I'll take a picture the next time. It's a beautiful view up top.

Plan today is start pulling up fence post and rolling up old wire from a 80 year old fence. Rather than try to salvage any of it I'd rather just put all new in then I know it'll be good the rest of my life.:thumbsup: It's about a 1/2 mile long.

68°F and no rain. Sunny, but a front moving in from the West supposed to bring rain.

No big plans for the day, trip to farmers market in town, maybe a touristy thing or 2, yesterday was the 1 year anniversary for the Kilauea volcano activity. Brother-in-law suffering from kidney stones, so less than 100%.

Sodamo, we just got back to Toronto from Maui on Tuesday. Waved to you as we flew past the big island. had a great time, and did some scuba Diving (sharks and all). Man, Maui has some great beaches, and lovely sunsets!

Wow, Redneck, I had no idea that it was that bad. What a scandal, and all those people who suffered as a result!

It's nearly as bad down here in So.Cal. with S.D.G.&E.. Their lines caused a couple of big fires in San Diego County and they have passed the costs to the rate payers.It's been contested in court but looks like they won, now they have gone to the crooked state P.U.C commission for another rate hike to raise the dividends for the stock holders, while doing little or nothing about fire prevention.
On a positive note there was an article in the news paper saying that in Ventura County they are using herds of goats for brush clearing. I guess this is too easy for a bureaucrat to grasp, but it sure makes a lot of sense to me.

52°F and light rain this morning, going up to 66° today. Rain finally stopped around 8:00 this morning. Oddly, there was nothing showing on the radar for about 20 miles, yet my window told me it was indeed raining.

No rain in the forecast for the rest of today or tomorrow. Maybe I will get some mowing done this weekend after all.

JimN- It seems to me that the major utility companies' created bureaucracies make them too big to fail and too big to succeed.

Paul sometimes for reasons unknown to me it appears that Doppler Radars change their sensitivity and/or angle/altitude of the beam and terrain can create blindspots. I will switch between Albany and Taunton/Boston radars sometimes to get a better understanding of what is going on here.

The first hummingbird of the year arrived around noon. He took a long drink from the feeder and took off heading north.

Me too, just came in, time to chill, everything that had to get done was done plus
it's 88 out with a feels like 96 so I was starting to get hot.
Where's a nice snowbank when you need one?...

Jay, I was doing fine until the call came at 7:30am saying collards picking crew on their way.
So I wound up working all morning, and then had to mow for two hours.
But now, now is Miller Time. Roy's watch beeps when the sun is over the yardarm.
