David, that tool for pulling underground pipe looks very interesting. I could make all the parts for the project. Except the cable puller and cable. Could you buy the unit and then sell when project is done.

Good Morning All.

Ron, I’m toying with it. I believe I have 50ft wire rope on a HF winch and can readily make the piece that it attaches to the existing pipe. Just not sure best way to attach the poly pipe so it doesnt slip off. Thinking maybe a pipe nipple either inside or outside with two thru bolts several inches apart.

I glued a tee on mine, then cut the ends to the diameter of the tubing and ran the cable through it for my overflow drain, I pulled it 90 feet that way. I got the cable through by feeding range cable through the old broken PVC. The poly tubing balked a couple of times at the broken spots, but with patience and silicone spray we were able to rock it back and forth and get through.

dozens of different colored domestic rabbits running loose all over the park.

sure never saw that in any rv park I went too, must have been very neat to watch.

everyone has left, got most of my todo's done, hot out actually, may just sit in a/c for a bit.
David, I'm impressed you can fix those hydraulics yourself. I can unbolt but have usually come to grief
with O rings and little clips.

energy conservation in process.
Like a plug in car getting connected to juice.

mid to high 80 degree highs next ten day forecast.
When the sun goes down later I'll be back out hand watering.
Trying to dose the tomatoes early with extra calcium.

I’m more impressed with your gardening, Drew. Following your efforts reminds me that when we first moved here I had similar thoughts. Have a bountiful garden that over supplied our wants and needs and donate the over crop. Of course that was before I met a friend that failed several years getting volunteers to glean fields. While I’ll happily work to help someone who can’t I just refuse to do it for someone who just won’t.

Thanks Randy. I’m thinking a barbed threaded fitting in the poly side, likely heat shrink when I clamp.

Don, "74 DEGREES" IN THE MORNING .... Way too warm... What's the high for today? Sounds like it's time to go to that air conditioned wood shop! SUPER IMPORTANT NEWS: Burger King will start serving a "Whopper" sandwich that is entirely plant based...supposed to be very difficult to distinguish between the meat and plant based burgers according to the test market customers. THERE'S HOPE FOR FAST FOOD!

The ingredients list for the impossible burger does not look too promising, too much oil.

"The main ingredients in the veggie patties are soy and potato protein, coconut oil, sunflower oil, and heme, or soy leghemoglobin the molecule that makes meat taste like meat. "We make the Impossible Burger using heme from soy plants identical to the heme from animals which is what gives it its uniquely meaty flavor, Impossible Foods states on its site."

It might make the Vegans feel good about not killing an animal but for heart health they need to nix the oils.

I agree. The impossible burger Is only slightly more healthy than the "all beef" burger. Throw in an order of large fries and you still have calorie overload.

I forgot to post earlier of how impressed I am with the air fryer. We used it last night to cook the breaded eggplant slices for eggplant parmesan. They came out better than ever before; even grilled on the grill. Tonight it may be cooking fresh local asparagus. Our asparagus patch using the trench method took ~ 5 years to produce enough for two people. It maintained production for ~10 years and died off. I have not been able to rejuvenate that bed. The local asparagus is really good as are the fiddleheads. For all the ferns around here we have no fiddlehead ferns. I think they are called the ostrich fern. Attempts at transplanting wild ferns here did not work.

I can see air fried spiced tofu in a near term future dish.

I hope that everyone is having a manageable day.

Don't know where on the Oregon coast you're going, but we spent a very pleasant week in an RV park in Cannon Beach in the early Fall of 1992. We were in sight of the ocean, and perhaps the most unusual thing about that park was the dozens of different colored domestic rabbits running loose all over the park. Of course we had come down from the north so while we were staying in Cannon Beach, we drove down the coast sight-seeing. One of the most interesting places we visited (to me, at least) was the Tillamook Creamery, cheese factory.

We'll be just south of Cannon Beach this year, sharing a rental with another couple. We have stayed in Cannon Beach for a few days or week most years going back to mid 90s. The first few times was on the beach at the Surf and Sand and have stayed in other places, both ends of town. Rabbits are certainly common, especially at the north end of town when we stayed there.

We plan on stopping at Tillamook Creamery, we eat their yogut and ice cream, often the cheese too. When our middle daughter was on east coast working, she said not being to get Tillamook cheese was one of the things that bothered her.. she is back in the area so happy now.

Our youngest daughter took our grand daughter to Cannon Beach for Spring break.. they had a great time (rainy and windy, but still some good beach time)..

The younger of my two brothers had lived in Ellensburg, WA, before moving back to the north Texas area many years ago. I once went with him back to Ellensburg to get some of his mother-in-law's stuff from a storage facility. He told me, on the way up there, that he had to stock up on his favorite Tillimook cheese because he couldn't find it in the Denton, TX, area. Well, now Sam's Club has it, and I think our local Walmarts also have it.
