32 and going to a high of 45 °F. Wind E 9 mph. Periods of rain. They are still talking an ich to inch and a half plus a couple inches of snow. The overnights are still mostly below freezing. This is a good thing. Slow that melt down.

Today is bed building day for Junior. He will take the 'queen' a part and put the double together. That s the system we have. I pay and supply and he puts things together. All except for work on vehicles and that goes to the local garage.

RNG, they are protected up here as well. You would get a hefty fine AND lose your firearms AND a hunting ban for about 10 years IF one were to get caught. That is why I suggested 22 shorts.
The MNR (Ministry of Natural Resources) have in the past issued 'scare permits' to some people to scare them off the property. You have to prove that they are making such a mess of your property that you cannot enjoy it any more. Pictures work.
I don't mind the geese, just don't like stepping in the little green cigars that they leave behind.

So that is today in a nutshell.

Have a good day all

RNG, if your battery is so weak that it cannot stand the LED headlights being on when the motor isn't running, maybe it is time for a new battery.:D

60 going to 74.

We had a 1 minute shower about 3am, just enough to sabotage my plans to mow before the big storms come in this afternoon. Maybe it will dry out.

Kyle, hope you're feeling okay this morning.

RNG, get some sleep!

Don, that was quite a downpour you got. Stinger looks real nice. Did the HOA approve having a race car parked in your driveway? :)

I could never make a living as a carpenter unless I could get paid by the hour instead of by the job. Took 8.5 hours to build my rack yesterday, with no lunch and no breaks except walking up to the house to swap out batteries on the charger for the saws and drill. But now the grapple is stored on the top of the rack, and the bucket and tiller are back on the tractor for summer maneuvers.

How can it already be Friday again?

Drinking first cup of coffee. 48° with rain this morning. Heading to 60° with off and on rain. Got just shy of 1" of rain overnight. Need to put all 4 new tire/wheel on lawnmower. That may be enough. Front are easy. Rear can be a pain. Because they are held on with a snap ring. Bearings cause a ridge that will not let wheel come off spindle. I will work out something. No other plans for day.

Kyle, hope you are feeling better today. Follow doctors orders no matter how good or bad you feel.

David, hope the rest of your LP projects goes better.

RNG, get some sleep. Then?????

Wngsprd, my forks, snowblower, grapple bucket and 72" mower are all stored on racks. Sure opens up the space when these attachments are out of the way.

Good Morning All.

There are a lot of race cars in this community. None are parked in the driveway. They could if they wanted to, but NOT in the street overnight, that is a no, no. Del Web has a lot of garbage options, like 3 car garages and extended garages that are like 4.5 garages (you do loose a bedroom with this option). So even with "stuff" you can garage your vehicle. During a recent hail threat I only saw two old (2015) pickups left outside.

Good morning! 61˚F heading to the mid 80s.
Hope your recovery is mostly painless Kyle.
Every town has an event this weekend, time for a road trip.

RNG-- for the geese, can't you get some bird bangers? They launch with a blank pistol, or I think long ago I've seen adapters for .22 rifles. Here they are sold like fireworks-- bangers with a ton of flash powder for scaring away animals, but also all sorts of neat firework types. In the US, you can buy them for agricultural use, AFAIK. My grandma in Wyoming had some for scaring away something on her ranch. Sutton Ag - Bird Bangers, Bird Scaring Pyrotechnics

I'm also fooling with the AC in my van. The control for the back doesn't work right, and while I've got all those panels off, I'm installing speakers back there. Not sure what Volkswagen was thinking to make a 9 passenger van and only put speakers up front. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the panels off without breaking some plastic. The yellow zip tie in the photo is going to be keeping the AC on cool until I either figure out whats wrong on the circuit board or find one used for a decent price. For the next 4 months, doesn't matter, as "max cool" is the desired setting anyway.

RNG, Dawn will work, it contains both nonionic and anionic, so not as good as a dedicated product.

Mowed and sprayed yesterday, would have sprayed more but little tractor low fuel light came on and my cans were empty, so I know one job today.

Two grandsons arrived last night, son and DIL heading to NYC for some musical opening, then back here tomorrow for son in laws 40th birthday party.
We have that party plus Ellen’s alumni dinner tomorrow. I’m ready for a weekend off!
Have good day and God bless.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!

A rainy, foggy, misty 45ºF morning low temp; 46ºF presently conditions unchanged; a little warmer and wetter later today with possible T-storms tonight. A good day to waste going to the dentist. I do not see much chance for sun until briefly maybe next week around here.

RNG- You earned some sleep. I hope you have a stress free, relaxing weekend or at least a manageable one with some decent, restful sleep scheduled.

…. Need to put all 4 new tire/wheel on lawnmower. That may be enough. Front are easy. Rear can be a pain. Because they are held on with a snap ring- RonJH. I have a similar destiny. My JD has those snap rings on the front, and if I remember correctly a “key/pin?” and split ring on the back. I still need to order those inner tubes for the rears.

Andrew- Good luck with the A/C challenges. Was there really life before hot glue, epoxy, and/or zipties?

Kyle- I wish you a speedy recovery and take care of yourself.

David and Sophie- I ope the LP is flowing as expected with no "light show" entertainment for all your guests and good luck with this weekend's potluck dinners.

I hope everyone has a decent end to the workweek and a pain free, stress free weekend were every project goes successfully as planned.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

I got my 1 and only "Get Out of Jail Free Pass" from the Chief of Police of my home town after passing a "Hot Rod Harriet" Blue Hair Q-Tip ~ 90mph who would floor it on the very rare straight sections and 35MPH through every :censored: curve on the last leg of a long journey from Buffalo, NY. He was approaching at the time of my pass. I just pulled over and waited. He never had to turn on the "Blues." He actually was surprised to see me driving. I never speed through the Hilltowns around here.

RonJH- Thanks for the link.. I will order them today.

jbrumberg-- on the two wheel tractor I use for fighting brush, I converted the wheels to be tubeless (lots of black goop around the rims) and then filled them up with something from England called PuntureSafe. I think its a copy (they would say improvement) of ultraseal. That was last September, I went and mowed in a field of blackthorn-- 2.5 acres, over the winter used it for snowblowing, and just a few weeks ago noticed among all the small thorns sticking out one monster thorn. So I took a video of the removal and subsequent plugging, needless to say I'm quite pleased that the stuff still works after half a year of being in the tire: Shared album - Andrew Ray - Google Photos

   / Good morning!!!! #92,918
Andrew- That was one impressive thorn. I tried a couple aerosol tire sealants and was not impressed with the results. I have two tires on my utility cart that are leaking, I will research ultrseal. Thanks. I have lots of brambles in my l6 acres of lower field; nothing there compares to your blackthorn.

thomas, maybe by thanksgiving that turkey will be friendly enough to walk right into your freezer.:D

It's not to bad this morning 38° and partly cloudy. Yesterday was mostly sunny with a cool wind and in the low 60's. They are saying that today will be windy with a chance of thunderstorms and high in the mid 60's.

A neighbor said he opened up the road to the top of the hill yesterday. I might go for a ride and see how much snow is still up there. He said it took him most of the day to get it done. A another neighbor is trying to sale his place on top and someone is wanting to see it.

Hope everyone has a good start to the weekend.
CWB.
