Good morning to all! Low of 42, going up to 78 and sunny. Maybe an isolated t-storm tomorrow.

Kyle, again, good luck, prayers sent. Keep us posted.

I finally got the mower deck cleaned up and the blades sharpened. Staying hunched over really did me in. Started to put the deck back on, but gave up. Too many things hurting and no strength left. Today will finish it up.

Bird, hope you're daughter gets some good news and they are able to resolve her problems. Prayers sent.

David, that was a scary incident! Lucky that nothing else caught on fire.

Drew, good luck with your presentation. Have a nice relaxing day.

Nice "chick pics"....

Everyone have a great day! Prayers out for those injured, broken, ill, or just needing a little boost!

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!

A brisk 32ºF for today’s low temperature. The NWS sums up this morning rather nicely: “Beautiful morning in progress with cirrus clouds providing somevibrant colors at sunrise.” A sunny 48ºF presently with low 60ºF’s and cirro-sunny conditions anticipated later. It will be a good day to putter around outside before Friday’s rain and possible T-storms tomorrow night. An active weather pattern shaping up through and into next week with alternating days of rain/non-rain. Wifey and I had a great time out last night. Once we got home I heard the BoSox on TV and went to bed.

Kyle- I hope your surgery goes as planned. My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Drew- The chicken looks to be great eats. We too will be joining the Air Frying Nation the next time Wfey goes to BJ’s.

David- I am happy that your home did not make the local news. Good luck with the LP repair and your panned weekend events. Maybe you could start a catering service on the side.

Rick- Thanks for the bird food link. I agree about the quality of feed determining the resultant waste.

Bill- Good luck with the assembly of your new bed. I hope assembly goes as anticipated.

I hope that everyone has a great day today.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Haven’t started the coffee yet, but woke up early here in Maui. (5:20 AM right now.)

Ontario is 6 hours ahead of us, and there is flooding up near the cottage, in Bracebridge and Huntsville. They are warning about another big whack of rain tomorrow, so our lake is going to get quite high. Have to monitor the situation closely, as things might start to float away in the boathouse.

Good luck with the surgery, Kyle!

So how does one check for flat spotted tires? I usta get 'em all the time before I switched out the nylon corded tires for radials, but these Michelin Defenders are radials, or at least I think they are. Aren't all tires radial these days?:confused2:
I would find a tire dealer that has a Hunter Road Force Balancer.
Road Force(R) Elite Wheel Balancer | Hunter Engineering Company
Even that may not it. May be a broken belt in a tire. That causes a imbalance. I would think you could find this by swapping front to rear tires.
I was involved with some studies on vehicle vibrations before I retired. Studies were done with a bad balance on a tire. 3 oz of imbalance on a tire did not cause a bad vibration. But throw another tire with a bad balance set both of them vibrating. Similar vibrations could be created by having a imbalanced drive shaft and a bad tire balance. With only one happening there was no vibrations. Harmonics is what causes these vibrations. Especially when you have a drive shaft running at one rpm and a tire rotating at another.
There is a specialty frame shop near me that will analyze and find where vibrations are come from. I would think there should be one in CA someplace.
Place here is Harolds Frame Shop.
Harold's has a balancing tool that will balance tire, wheel, brake drum/rotor and hub on the vehicle.
One I know out west is Henderson's Line Up
About Us - Henderson's Line-Up Brake & RV Inc.

Back in. I thought about mounting the 2 new tires on rims. But my memory came back on how hard these tire are to get on rim. Took rims, tires and rims to to local heavy implements tire shop. 10 minutes drive, 15 minutes to do both tires. 10 minutes drive back home. Hardest part for me was getting $20 out of my wallet.
I was wrong about lawn needing cutting. I ran mower over a couple of high spot. Other than those spots could not tell where lawn had been mowed.
While watching waterfall on Garden Pond. Out from behind some rocks swam 2 fish. I wonder how many more are hiding behind rocks?

57 going to 77. Saw our first female hummingbird yesterday. Males have been here two weeks already.

Kyle, prayers for your surgery fixing the problem.

Eric, I like my unpredictability a bit more when it is not created by coyotes.

Picked up a load of lumber at HD yesterday to build an implement rack today. Space is so limited in my little tractor barn that I'm going double decker. I figure I can stack the grapple or bucket on top of the tiller. Need to mow before the rain hits.

Looking forward to the pics of this

We need pics of someone's very shiny new wheels, we need pics of more lambs, always....
we need pics of a Monte Carlo with a nice ribbon on it, we need pics of the insides of tube amplifiers (oh boy)
and maybe a little close up of a cute little chicken, long before he knows he will wind up on my plate.
Fatten up buddy, no scrawny legs on my plate!

And a tip of the hat to Ed, hoping he is happy and content.
And making nice long curls of cut off metal on his lathe.
While Larro is contemplating his navel and the world in general in his camp by the stream.
Not sure how he handles those big bugs. I mean there are big bugs in Florida...some of those walkers
could have a harness put on them to haul stuff around for you. Like putting your gekkos to work...bet some of those gigantic
bugs come and visit David on his Hawaiian mountain top. A hungry bird's delicious meal.

A bug in bed is bad.
Wives scream and flail.
Nothing better than a big hairy spider in bed with you.
That feel of something walking over your face, so you brush it off, right
onto your spouse.
Mine go down the toilet with several flushings.

do certain types of dogs or cats eat more bugs than usual? Do they find them snacks?
I've seen cats toy with bugs but not eat them.
Probably a good bug bad bug decision making process trying to wean out those little bugs,
many of them yellow, that sting one's big tongue.
so I guess it gets down to friend or foe/ edible or not edible.

taking my kale down to the food pantry and then food shopping.
Back to wash car. Nice easy morning.
And relatively, going to be a hot one.

Are you drunk already? LOL

No catering, Jay. I much prefer the potluck approach. Such a diversified neighborhood also means great eats. Just wish I could convince people to put their name on what they bring.
