61 degrees this morning, going for a high of 70. I just went out and dumped about 2.9" of rain out of the gauge. And I swept the water off the deck. The rain is forecast to continue off and on for the next 24 hours.

I hope it is over before 10 a.m. tomorrow because I have to go to the north edge of Ft. Worth to get our younger daughter and take her to the UT Southwestern Medical School Hospital in Dallas. I guess I'm always a bit reluctant to post personal information on the Internet, especially when I don't really have enough facts, but we'd appreciate everyone's prayers for our daughter. She made the mistake of having weight reduction surgery several years ago. And it appeared to be successful for a few years. However, she's been in near continuous pain now for at least 5 years. She's been to many doctors and many tests, losing weight, cannot keep anything down that she eats. The doctors have concluded that her stomach is only capable of holding less than one cup and that she's soon going to die without an artificial feeding tube. They installed one earlier this month but it got clogged up and had to be removed. She's to get another one installed tomorrow. She turned 50 years old 2 months ago. To make matters even worse, 6 years ago she adopted a little girl who will now be 14 later this year.

Don, I envy your wife. When we lived in Marlow, OK, I took a year of Spanish in my sophomore year. You had to take 2 years of Spanish for 2 credits, but you got zero credit for one year. So I got one year, then we moved to Marietta and that school did not offer Spanish, so I never got the second year. But the year I got in Marlow was most enjoyable; just me and 6 girls in the class. And I still remember that my text book title was El Camino Real.

Bird, Prayers for your daugher. Is this your daughter who put together your big birthday party years ago?

Good Morning!!!! 67F @ 5:45AM. Abundant sunshine. High near 90F. Winds light and variable.

89F for a high yesterday. Sheesh, what happened to spring?

Still chasing van vibrations.

Happy Hump Day, folks!

I removed the drive shaft, went for a drive, and the vibrations remained.

Yesterday I swapped wheels front with back, still vibrates.

Checked runout on the wheels, +- 0.020", which seems good to me.

Pulled back the boots on the CV joints, and learned that the make/model of the inner CVs is for some reason different than those on the outside, but from what I've been able to read, it shouldn't matter. I'll probably end up replacing them anyway, just to eliminate that as a possible cause.

How old in years and how worn are the tires? Did I see a picture of them cupped? Or was that someone else????

I like the plug patches where you put it on from the inside. Tire sealant makes a mess, but I still use it for small leaks.

Drew, better fix that fast. There is virtually no trade in value on an EEPE brand. In fact , I will offer you $100 for your John Eepe mower. :)

Surgery tomorrow at 9 am. They said I just have to stop eating and drinking after midnite. Darn.

Drew, the food looks fantastic! I've been trying to convince the wifey to get one....no go so far.
I think you might want to get a trademark on the "John eepe" brand...might catch on....

Good evening all. 65F this morning, rain gauge hiding, overcast from rain overnight, calm wind. Some drizzle during the day, light wind and high temp of 72F. Men's meeting this morning, then out to garage to clean/lube chain on Volagi and 10-speed. Both chains were filthy and 10-speed way overdue. Did get bathroom heater boxed up for summer, and some cleanup but much more work needed.
Bird, prayers for your trip and for your daughter.
Kyle, prayers for your surgery.
Jay and Ted, continued healing for your knees.
prayers for all.
