51 going to 74, looks like picture perfect weather

along with our bomb cyclones, seems the weather folks are seriously into
warfare terms...what's with this?...
Severe Winds to Strafe Carolinas, Virginia

I think these guys have been watching too many WWII movies...

going to be a busy day, lots of veggies to pick. Cut up three plates of brownies for volunteers,
have them ready, now just waking up to first cup of coffee.
Am finding that mixing some expresso style dark coffee in with decaf, trying to do half/half, makes for much
better coffee flavor. Using a mix of New England coffees, tastes good.
Starting off the day with weak, flat coffee is well, you know....

Buppies, hope the shoulder feels better. Hope all knees feel better and other parts of us that
are slowly falling apart. I'm still trying to get retrofitted for some zerk fittings on a few of
my parts.

Coffee is done brewing. 40° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 71° with a few scattered clouds. Yesterday was a good day to do a walk around property. No real problems seen. Just need to wait for grass to grow enough for first cutting. Getting close to that.

Prayers for Sri Lanka.

David MFW, glad to see you posting.

David, glad you are feeling better.

Randy, hope you and Ellen's injuries are healing.

Buckeye, have a safe trip home.

Buppies, take care of your shoulder. Pain from therapy is normal. But pain that restricts use later is too much.

Good Morning All.

Up early this morning and got some concreting done before the sun had chance to fry me. Indulged afterwards in a half hour nap which felt so good, I'm almost tempted to do it again this afternoon.

Mostly, I'm sure you can have a guilt free nap too after 186 miles and 7,000ft.

Kyle, I was wondering if they apply herbicides and fungicides for crop protection through the same pipework ? Sometimes I think too much, I should just enjoy the pretty patterns it makes - Dimmit from above is incredible.

I bet some of Mossflower's girls are off to college now.
Bet he's working extra hard to keep his harem in the lifestyle to which
they surely want, including getting to drive Dad's tractor.
That man must be so spoiled...
David, may happiness prevail beyond all the estrogen, and hope the job is going well.

Buckeye, long drive, travel safely, enjoy the sights.
heading for home. Always a good feeling.
Home Sweet Home.

time to fire up the little Massey and use the rear wood carryall to carry supplies out to collards field.
I'd like to get a pic of the rear filled with boxes of collards.

38 °F and going to s high of 59. Wind NE 15 gusting to 21 mph. 30% chance of showers.

I guess I will go down to the culverts and make sure they are still clear. After that I think I will polish another rim. Only two left.

Have a safe day all

East Coast Canada is 10 Celsius = 49 f and rain. I fall all my firewood during winter so I don't have to fall when the birds are nesting. So for the next couple of months it's all about processing up the wood, cleaning up and making more logging roads. Guess I will be getting some wood out today and delivering it to a customer.

Good morning! 66˚F heading to the 80s, cloudy. Heading in to KIA to see why the smart cruise control is telling me I'm doing something wrong but won't tell me what.

Ron Your granddaughter has a grand sports-car (two doors two people) I have a different class - sport-sedan (five doors, five people). If she has a family you can ask her if she would like to trade so no one gets left behind.

Bird, my Dad got a used Ranger about 20 years ago and the previous owner had put tint on the windows. It was too dark and distorted. When he was looking for a new vehicle he said the same thing you did but I convinced him that not all window tint is like it was on his Ranger. He did get tint and like it.

Looking forward to that collard pic Drew.

53, moving on up to 73.

Gee, Randy, really sorry about Ellen's finger and ring.

Nice visit here with son, GF, dogs. Plus my wife and I beat them in cornhole...seniors rule!

Clover fields are pretty crimson colored now. Found my first baby blacksnake of the year...in my shed. We have dozens of hummingbirds already...but all males. The females, who always come later, should show up soon.

Hope everyone has a great start to the week.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!

A drizzly foggy 43ºF morning low; partly sunny 50ºF presently; with low to mid 60ºF’s later as today’s high temperature with more rain and possible T-storms later today. An active weather pattern week with periods of rain/rain showers all week; excepting Thursday. A dry weekend is anticipated. Spring is definitely here. I saw my first Kingbird this morning. Plan for today- PT, bail Brogen from the doggie gulag, and get tires for the rider mower.

BEF- I wish you safe travels on your return home.

…. I think these guys have been watching too many WWII movies... Drew. I’d like to know what they’re smoking sometimes. Those ProMets make up more words than I. Starting off the day with weak, flat coffee is well, you know….:eek:

I hope that everyone has a decent start to this workweek, those mending keep mending, those gimping gimp less, ROM’s improve at least a painless º, and those healthy stay that way.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

Wow, she goes for extremes, if she puts both her cars together their average would be a Stinger.

It's 31° this morning and overcast. It rained on and off most yesterday with a high in the low 50's.They are calling for cloudy skies today and a high in the mid 50's with a slight chance of rain. The forecast looks good for the rest of the week.

Not much going on today. I'll see if I can find something to keep me busy.

Hope everyone has a good start to the week.
CWB.

Good morning all,

46 and overcast with no wind. Little bit of rain yesterday.

The clouds are thin so I think they'll burn off when the sun comes up. My pasture is starting to get a green hue to it finally.

The local gravel pit is still closed so I can't get any road base yet. If it stays dry and around 50-65 during the day they might could open up by this weekend.

Prayers for all and hope you all have a nice day.

Good morning to all! Low this morning was a chilly 36, only going up to 66. Partly cloudy this morning, showers / thunderstorms this afternoon and tonight. There are winter storm warnings for up to 8" of snow north of here.

Drew, looking forward to see pics of the 'collard team' and the harvest.

BEF, glad your trip to visit your boys went well, that's a long drive.

Randy, sorry to hear about Ellen's finger and ring...that's got to be painful! Hopefully she will heal fast. Prayers sent.

Buppies, hope your shoulder pain continues to decrease and your ROM improves. A few years ago, I had 3 tears in my rotator cuff. 2 months of PT and surgery was avoided. No shots either. It fully recovered....unlike the knee

Jay, have fun in PT today. Glad your trip to CT was enjoyable and uneventful. Now, be carefull switching out those mower tires!

Got some mowing done yesterday, about 2/3 around the house. Blades now need sharpening, but I might cut the last 1/3 first before doing them. Have to run some errands this morning, might be able to get it cut before any rain this afternoon.

Hope everyone has a great start to the week! Prayers sent for all!

56°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 82° today.

I honestly can't recall what I did for most of the day on Saturday, but I remember being busy all day. :confused3: Took The Wife and her youngest and his girlfriend to dinner Saturday evening at The Lemp Mansion Restaurant in St. Louis, just across I-55 from the Anheuser-Busch brewery. Dinner was delicious, and the staff was exceedingly friendly and polite. It was a magnificent dining experience. We were celebrating - albeit a few weeks late - Samuel's and Samantha's (Sam-Sam) birthdays, which are both in March. We were finally able to get everyone together this weekend.

Noticed while walking to the barn Sunday morning that we have a new neighbor. One of the neighbors horses was strutting around showing off her new foal. She's a very proud momma.

New Foal 2019.JPG

Spent Sunday morning burning a line of leaves along the lower driveway. They'd gotten quite wet from the recent rains, and burned rather slow and smokey.

Leaf Burning Spring 2019.JPG

Got the grass mowed in the afternoon, and it only took about 3 hours. Still can't mow the area between the lake and the road, as it's been a marsh land for a couple of weeks now. Be glad to get that sorted out this year with a new rip-rapped drainage path to the ditch.

Eric, places like Gear4Music are indeed like a musician's drug dealer. On this side of the pond, we have Musician's Friend / Guitar Center and Sweetwater, as well as a few others. I both love and hate when those new catalogs arrive in the mail. Wife always gives me that jaundiced look when she hands them to me.

David, I remember when Royce Gracie took the then-new world of UFC by storm. No one seemed to have any answers to his system. It was brilliant in it's simplicity, as all the great effective fighting styles have been through history.

Roy, I may have to look into bar tires for our ZTR. We have a few places around the property, especially along the lake bank, that could definitely benefit from better traction. Thanks for the heads-up.
