Good morning!!!!

I downloaded my user manual and I'm currently reading through it. Yes, I'm going to be THAT guy  I have worked with tractors and other heavy equipment, but never ON it so I have a LOT to learn.

It's OK to be THAT guy, Jason, at least here in the GM thread! When it comes to operating a tractor, you'll live longer that way. Take a minute and run a search here for "tractor tip over" or "tractor accident" and you'll learn about all the neat ways to kill yourself with one. Most of 'em would never occur to you on your own. Keep the ROPS up and always wear your seat belt, just in case, and you should be OK.

Oh, and welcome to Good Morning!!!!:welcome:

Tractor Stability and Instability.

A woodchuck burrow on my slope may catch me some day. One reason I mow so slow that common toads can get out of the way.

Randy- My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for your Mom and family.

Top of the morn to you as well and thanks for the warm welcome. I've read every word of this thing (except the 250, 500, etc hour stuff but did glance at it). I can honestly say I think 90% of it was common sense stuff, I did learn quite a bit.

The big pile of snow at the neighbours' is moved. My driveway has had another 2" of slush and snot scraped off. I laid the Mothers polish to one of my new rims, I will do another one tomorrow. They shine up real good!

The rest of the day is mine to fritter away.

I agree with RNG, Jason, be that guy. One on the GM benefits we all learn something. Tractors are greedy critters at times, quite unforgiving.
As I mentioned above, mowing an area I’ve cut hundreds of times and doing so on my CK30 vs the DX I sold felt very different. I doesn’t take much to unset balance at times.

Our Scag zero turn is the one piece of equipment that has most pucker factor for me. I have often said “it hates slopes, it hates wet. And it positively hates wet slopes” i have unintentionally mowed areas unexpectedly.

So after a couple days of thought.
No where I’d rather be than right here. Here with the love of my life. She who makes it all worthwhile.

Got the oil plug out with the impact, and the engine hot. Still took some impact thumping, and when it came, it came. Catch pan was to the side, so spilled a bunch on the floor before i could slide the catch pan over. Since i don't have a replacement, had to put it back in, gently this time.

Storms over here and the sun is out. There was just over 1 1/4” in two different rain gauges, about 1000 yards apart. Rain was horizontal when the big winds came thru so .... probably close to 2”.

Still raining at our Richmond House.

Great news BEF!

Was hoping this wasn’t going to turn into that months long “can’t remove my drain plug” thread some time ago.
