70 degrees to start the day yesterday and 22 degrees this morning. And the NWS thinks we're going to have a rainy weekend. I liked the clear skies and 70 degrees better.

Tuesday was our only 70 degree day, east winds kept us in the 60’s the rest of the week, but I’ll take it in February. 62° early, falling to 45 late day.
Drew, if you keep it up they are going to put your picture on the oatmeal box.

50 and damp, going to 62, I guess. The last two days' NWS forecasted highs have been off...10 degrees too low Wednesday, and 10 degrees too high yesterday..."close enough."
Ron, glad you got your job done without pain in that arm...but don't come back too fast. Where did you say you got your birdfeed? I'm low again, so might make a Costco run. My wife's been in NC taking care of parents for the last 3 weeks, so I've bought seed at TSC and WalMart, and just don't like either mix. Plus I'm needing a few other items.
Spent many hours on taxes yesterday, and creating an income statement and balance sheet with footnotes for the family's farm...wasted a lot of time wrestling with TurboTax...it rounds off all the entries to the nearest dollar, then won't let me e-file, because the final cumulative number is off a dollar...all due its own rounding. It's such smart software in many ways, but I find it very frustrating and lacking help in some areas. Anyway, had to override and then e-filed and produced K-1s to send to the owners (I'm not one).
Saw some auto show footage...why can't I get that new Supra out of mind? Nice looking new Tacoma, too...and Ford Police Interceptor, and RAM 3500 Line-X.

36°F and very windy this morning. That's 35° colder than yesterday morning. Forecast high will only get to 40°F this afternoon. We're to be back in the 70's by Monday.
I'm thinking this will be a "work inside the shop with doors down" kinda day.
Need to go run some errands in town this morning. Cold weekend means a big pot of homemade chicken noodle soup. I've got everything except the carrots. Great reason to ride around in a warm truck.

48 outside this grey morning. Heading to upper 50's. Hopefully I can make it to the w/e. LOL. CRAZY week. An old friend and I commiserated on our fortunes this past year. We both had to laugh when we rolled back the clock and turned our thoughts to where we would be. Of course reality says this is where you are, so.....
We get our deer and bird feeds from TSC. Of course here in VA, it is illegal to feed deer.
On the first job front, I was self employed, LOL, working for tips. That got me through college, which got me my first real job. That job was at NASA in the early stages of satellite flight operations for most anything ground sensing. I can recall being surrounded by an entire floor of computers all watching, recording and processing data as the "birds" made their passes. I use to take the wicked, weird shifts, so it would only be myself and a couple of flight engineers on duty. I took a liking to coffee back then, that and studious times with math, physics and sleep deprivation. Then came the newer satellites with their revolutionary photography captures. Shortly thereafter, I decided I needed to make a whole lot more money and became a "field engineer" in foreign lands.
I still like coffee, I still deal with the same technology, but I returned to the ball and chain of the tap root I call home. LOL
