Since we have a water faucet in each garden I first need to find a battery operated timed hose controller.

Here's one that'll work with your iPhone, Don:

If you're gonna be Bed Wetter Agent Man, you need to drive a Lotus...

29°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 41° today. Expecting some rain here this evening.

Boss asked me yesterday afternoon if I might drive to a customer's facility to review an issue their having. It's over on the other side of Missouri near the Iowa state line, about a 5-1/2 hour drive. Not looking forward to that, but I guess it has to be done. Waiting for confirmation from the customer, but packed an overnight bag in case I can leave from work today and get a hotel room tonight so I can be there first thing tomorrow morning. Yay me!

Good Morning!!!! 35F @ 6:30AM. Snow will taper off and end this morning, but it will remain cloudy this afternoon with a few rain showers. High around 45F. Winds light and variable. Chance of snow 80%. 1 to 3 inches of snow expected.

Just checked the radar map and it showed it should be snowing outside, and sure enough when I peeked out the window, there it was. No accumulation except on the hood of the BBQ, the ground is still too warm. And the snow cloud overhead is pretty small, so I don't expect it to last very long. Not that it matters; the only trip I have planned for today is out to the garage to refill the fire wood dolly.

Managed to get a few phone calls out yesterday to check on things. The replacement control board for the front gate hasn't shown up yet, and when I called I got the same guy as last time. He'd dropped the ball big time and I could tell he was embarrassed, but at the end of the conversation I wasn't sure if they were going to send the board or the whole arm. And his email note later didn't make it any clearer.:confused2: I like surprises, but not this kind.

Got an email from a paint shop back in Ohio letting me know they could supply the correct color to match the new-to-me BMW, but at the princely sum of $700.00 for two quarts. I thought they might have a decimal point off, but no, that's really the price:shocked:. Called my local supplier and he's trying to run down a more reasonably priced alternative.

Got four holes plugged in the Vanagon roof yesterday using 3M butyl tape under the fasteners for the luggage carrier. Also noticed that the rubber gasket under the skylight isn't sealing, so sent an email to the supplier asking for help. Tried a substitute coolant level sensor to see if I could get the warning LED to stop flashing, and it did. But when I hooked up the old sensor, it didn't flash, either. :banghead: More testing is needed...

Good Morning Everyone!!!!!!!

27ºF was today’s low with some freezing rain showers passing through; 40ºF presently; ~mid40ºF is today’s anticipated high temperature. Looks like I'll be seeing some mixed precipitation/rain midweek. Possible another round of mixed precipitation next week after the weekend cold.

Buppies- I agree with your longer range weather outlook and snowless-ness. I have had quite a few late Winter/Early Spring Snow events over the years.

Drew- I know the Fafard family they are great people. They sell high quality products.

Eric & Don- Thanks for the laughs.:D

Billy- Good luck with the dental work and the staple removals.

Ted- Good luck with the PT.

Bill- Our soil tests out fairly neutral (~7). We use wood ashes more as a snail/slug killing agent. If Remember correctly I read that prolonged application of wood ashes can build up toxic metals, but I am not +.

PJS- I wish you safe travels and a reasonable customer.

RNG- I have lost count of the times I see my weather first on my computer monitor before I see it outside the windows. Good luck with the sensors.

I hope that everyone has a decent day.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers.

PJ, would love to see pics of guitar.

Well, it's not a guitar yet, but the body is the right color now.

KH-1 Body Paint 1.JPG

It's a weird-looking design by a guy named Steve Klein, who designed it to be ergonomically friendlier than standard electric guitars.

Here's what it looked like when I laid everything together in a mock-up to make sure everything fits.

Klein fit-up.JPG

Here's a pic (from the internet) of what it will look like when finished ... except dark gray, and without the Klein signature logo.

Klein Wall.jpg

Still a lot of work left to do. The body still needs clear coat. The back of the neck needs stain and finish. I need to make sure the neck is completely straight, then level and re-crown the frets. I'm going to change out the head piece hardware at the top of the neck for a better designed aftermarket part, so I'll need to make sure it fits right (the part that came with the kit will be challenging-at-best to use). Then, wire the electronics and assemble everything.

While I've wanted one of these guitars for a long time - since the early '90s - this build is actually a step towards an even bigger project ... a double neck version of this guitar. If I really like it as much as I suspect I will, I want to build a double neck version with a 12-string on top and 6-string on bottom, similar to this (also an internet picture):

Klein Doubleneck REG.JPG

I'm having some difficulty sourcing the 12-string headless hardware, but I'm determined to make this happen. If I can, it would replace just about every electric guitar currently in my studio (4 of the 5 could go away).

Be careful about getting me started talking about musical instruments. It's almost as bad a talking about guns. Either subject can get me prattling on for hours on end.

Interesting builds,
I like the looks of this also.
Quite the instrument that he plays.

61°F and .21 inches rain.

Paint dried enough before the rain yesterday. Got my post bases drilled and anchors epoxied. Today hope to get 2 main beams set in place. That will require seat time .

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

I've seen a lot of different multi-neck guitars over the years, but I admit this is the first time I've seen a Telecaster / steel guitar version.

I owned a double neck 4-string bass / 6-string guitar Rickenbacker model 4080 for a few years back in the late '80s. Heavy instrument, but I wish I'd never sold it. They go for big bucks these days.

Here is the only picture I've ever found of me playing it, in '89 at a club in Edwardsville IL called Granny's Rocker (man, was that a fun place):

Oh, to be that skinny again ...
