Mostly. I think most everything has frozen by now. But it’s a regular acurance for us to have mud under the snow. Happens at least once a year. Snow acts as an insulator. We’ll go into a storm with very wet and warm ground, and it’ll take a while even with very low temperatures to freeze it. Sometimes it won’t freeze until the snow is removed. Depends on amount. I think most of our ground is now froze. But tomorrow has a forecast high of 45.

Drew. 24- 250,000 btu/hr heaters. I think we’ve bought around 7,000 gallons so far this winter. 15,000 gallon contract. I’m not liking Buppies forecast. I’ll take 20’s for lows and 40’s for highs. Seasonal averages here. This single digit stuff is supposed to stay up north. Currently 22.

My picture did not do it justice. It was amazing to see, i had never seen one, and they are not that uncommon.

I do have a tiny regret at missing the spectacle, so I looked up the next full lunar eclipse. 16 May 2021 - on the other side of the world ! Looks like I can sleep guilt free through that one

A little warmer here, only a degree below freezing. The forecast said there was a fair chance of waking up to snow, instead this morning everything has a thick coating of transparent ice. I won't be attempting to cross the back yard for a while, though I've found in the past that holding on to a wheel barrow makes an excellent walking frame for these conditions.

Kyle, that looks a perfect cabbage, with not a single caterpillar hole in sight. When I was your son's age I enjoyed sitting on our back step and eating it raw ( the cabbage - not the caterpillars - my eye sight was better in those days :laughing.

good morning all.
Sure wish I could grow a cabbage that nice, Kyle tell your son we are all impressed.

13 out now, all heaters in house roaring away, 1000 gallon propane tank really going to be helpful.

Too cold to be outside, for me..., waiting until late morning to go get a truck full of mulch hay, rather have too much than too little.

Tomorrow will be a high of 63 and a low of 58, warm southern air pushing the cold stuff back North. Wednesday high of 66, then gets really cold all over again.

After work plow drifting snow than remove plow,check deer feeder for refill 6 show up last evening for meal.
