Good morning!!!!

Good morning to all! Low only down to 30F, going up to 38F. I was surprised to see it still lightly snowing outside this morning. Got another 1" overnight, total of 6" since yesterday morning.

Have the appt. with the ortho doc later this morning. Going to have to add at least an extra 1/2 hour travel time due to the weather / road conditions. That will make it a 1 1/2 hour trip. Hopefully the return trip will be easier.

RIP, safe travels, I hope all reports from the Doc come back good!

Don, you're getting closer to that tractor nirvana!

BEF, sorry to read about your troubles with the windshield. Seems that QA has decreased accross the board, resulting in an inferior quality to the end user. Unfortunately, the costs of these products remain high in order to maintain that PROFIT MARGIN.

Drew, saw the pic of the garden shed. Coming along nicely. Also saw the box for the 'worm bag'....now I have to ask...why do you want to keep the worms in a bag?

Ron, hope the arm holds up and continues to improve.

Claye, that window must have been left open again. Not too much snow got through this time!

Everyone have a great start to the week! Stay safe if you have to go out in bad weather. Prayers sent for all needing.

Good morning! 37˚ heading to 51˚ cloudy.
We are getting to the gravel phase on the low water crossing on the new trail. We harvest our own gravel. It looks like we will be finished by the new amenity center's grand opening in a few weeks. They are building the sidewalk today that connects the center, goes around the lake, and ends at the head of our trail. New hiking trails got higher ratings than new golf courses in surveys conducted by the HOA so we are getting a lot of cooperation in the Trail Development SIG (Special Interest Group - of the hiking club). There are 5 of us in this specialized group and we lay out and clear the woods for the new trails.

I got the e-mail yesterday that there are 9 garden beds to choose from in the Horticulture Club and this week is choose your garden week. Things to consider are: Garden location to the compost piles, shade trees, and condition of garden walls.

One of our friends has dogs and game chickens in the country. A new neighbor called the county on the noise, LOL. HOA’s have their place. So do game chickens.

And even without a HOA sometimes we have such rules. When we bought our current home, I quickly noticed a rooster crowing in the morning in the block south of us. Now being a former old country boy, I kinda liked hearing that rooster. However, it wasn't long before 2 little girls came ringing the doorbell requesting signatures to get the city of allow them to keep their rooster. So I checked, and sure enough, chickens of the female variety (hens) are OK, but roosters are prohibited in the city. And I not longer heard that rooster crowing.

Good Morning Everyone!!!!

A clear 4ºF start to the day. Venus and Jupiter dominated the predawn sky. Today's high may reach ~30ºF.

It appears more likely that this long running weather pattern is starting to break down, and the probability of a decent snow management event this weekend for NE. Interestingly even with all the cold air that should be in place for this (phased) weekend storm there will be a rain/sleet/snow line somewhere near or along the NE Coast and my location; hopefully I'll be on the frozen side of the track. The modeled snowfall predictions remain crazy high. The mid-week weather event for NE will hopefully set the stage for the weekend storm. We値l see.

Buppies- Please try to be good to yourself today.

Mike- I wish you and your wife a safe trip and positive outcome with the doctor visit. You too Ted.

Harv- Good luck with the shoulder and RonJH- the PT and Phil the doctor's appointment.

Rich- Great report. It must be exciting to see raw talent developing.

RNG- Reading your activities makes me tired. David too.

Relationships should be judged by their longevity and quality and not by the gender(s) of those involved. Relationships should be non-abusive, non-exploitative and mutually supportive and growth oriented. Easy to post hard to achieve.

My + thoughts, prayers, and wishes.

Started the day in mid 20s and sunny, but clouding up now.

Went out last night and the roads were snow covered. After the roads got cleared in the afternoon, the plows stopped but the snow didn't. We decided to turn and come back home, but not before picking up a pizza. Roads had gotten a lot worse, but we did pass a plow on our road.

Everything closed today, school, govt, but not work.
I decided to try to work from home, but having trouble with the VPN to the office.

We ended up with 5-6" snow, but reports of a ft of snow down towards the office.

It's -4° for the low this morning, yesterday was in the high 20's and sunny. Today is supposed be in mid teens and partly cloudy. They keep changing the forecast the next chance of snow is at the end of the week.

L S ... The last snow we got was a week ago. But I did get the wood stove to hot and cracked a window. I'm guessing that's why it missed us and got you. I'll work on keeping the window closed.

BEF ... I've been dealing with Rocking Mountain ATV out of Payson Ut. You may went to look at them the next time you need something for your Ranger.

Didn't do much of anything yesterday, it looks like today will be the same.

Hope everyone gets a good start to the week.

Saw that PG&E filed for bankruptcy.

because of the big fire it seems. Remarkable.
But RNG's opinion is more important here. He's the one who had to live through it.

back from foodshopping, time to putter in garden shed, still pretty cold out, about 36 but might be warm enough in bright sun in greenhouse.
Two more days of hauling trays back and forth.

I need to plant my Christmas tree, a whopping one footer, and then start trimming everything that should be trimmed in middle of winter.

28°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 33° today.

Left work early Friday, and got about halfway home before it started snowing. We got about 5-1/2" overnight into Saturday morning. I cleared our driveway Saturday morning during a lull, then went across the road and cleared the neighbors driveway. Theirs was more of a challenge, with dips and curves and hills and a considerable drop off on each side. It started to snow again just as I was finishing, and continued lightly until about 3pm Sunday afternoon. We only got about another 1/2", though. First time since we got the new tractor that we've actually used it for snow removal, and I must say ... best snow shovel ever. Definitely made quick work of the task.

Saw the SMV sign swivel down at one point. Apparently lost the top screw. Need to fix that.

Spent most of the rest of the weekend in my studio. Got a lot done in there, too. It was a good weekend.

Weather peeps are predicting another storm for us this coming weekend.

That new ladder looks nice, Don. We have a wooden one in our garage that hasn't been used much and is still in pretty good shape.
So, are you going to change your TBN screen name to Tractor Daddy now?

Rick, my Lynxx pole saw leaks, too. In fact, I don't think I've ever seen a "self-oiling" chain saw that didn't. Very cool that they let you keep the old battery.

Ron, we' have plenty of snow. Feel free to stop by and pick up as much as you'd like.

Drew, I have many friends who are gay/lesbian. When I was growing up, we had a family friend whose son was gay ( I say "was" because he died a few years ago). It was no big deal to any of us, just what it was. I was somewhat surprised when I started working in the pipe organ industry that, as a straight man, I was a very small minority in that industry. It seemed strange to me that an institution (churches) that seemed most vocal in opposition to such a lifestyle had such a large contingent in their organ lofts. Some denominations in the Christian faith are obviously more tolerant than others. In the blue collar steel town where I grew up, the word gay was a pejorative, and usually thrown out in an angry manner. Nice that your community seems to be more accepting.
