Good morning!!!!

45 degrees going for a high of 62 today, but yesterday was unreal with 62 degrees for a LOW that went to 72, clear and sunny. I've had a couple of tough days, especially day before yesterday (Sunday). I was having almost continuous severe muscle spasms I guess under my left shoulder blade and up to my neck. My wife wanted me to go to an emergency room Sunday and wanted me to go to a doctor yesterday, but it was better yesterday, and even a little bit better this morning. Nothing serious, I reckon, but it sure can be painful.

I notice a lot of comments about tinnitus recently. If you can prevent or cure it, I'd sure recommend it. Back about 1986 (plus or minus a year), I went to see a specialist about the constant ringing in my ears. I'd never heard of "tinnitus" until that day. That doctor said, "I can tell you've had exceptionally good hearing in the past, don't need hearing aids right now, but you will eventually." Sure enough, I got my first two hearing aids more than 20 years ago, have gradually gotten more powerful ones, and am now nearly deaf without them.

Have you still got Tinnitus?

Another bird story...have you ever had one of those million bird trains of blackbirds fly over, or land on your property? I was out at daybreak and heard them coming...some started to land at the top of a nearby tall black cherry tree, and I remembered I had one of those LED flashlights in my pocket...I set it on strobe and the birds took off and no more landed...not sure if I have found my cure for them, but I'll try again if they come back.
Quick search says it will work. How big is your flashlight?

It is always a great pleasure to read the writings of the exceedingly great people who wish everyone well in my favourite online forums namely TractorByNet - Compact Tractors & Equipment Resource, Welcome to the Homesteading Today Forum and Community! and Forums - Canoetripping.net Forums..

To open up and share their life experiences, write of the things they did right and the mistakes they made is a testimony of their maturity. These words they share reminds me that most of the population is good. Unfortunately, at least part of the 1 percent of the population that hold 99 percent of the money and power, creates the most problems. This statement is just in general and not pointed towards anyone in particular. The point here is these mentioned forums are a great place to visit where people share their stories, knowledge and perhaps look for like minded people with the same achievements and struggles.

I would not want anyone to underestimate the power that the people of these forums hold. The power resides in both know how and mental support. Together, the people in these forums created a powerful resource

Blessing to all these good people.

Thanks

Good morning, everyone! Snow showers and 20 deg F here. I'm on the east side of a range of hills called the Blue Hills, about 20 miles inland from the NH Seacoast and near the Maine border. We have about an inch on the ground right now, forecast to change to rain showers as the day progresses. Some mixed winter precipitation possible. High near 35F. Winds light and variable.

There's not enough snow to fire up this new tractor owner's Kioti. We had early snows in November, which prompted the tractor purchase I've been contemplating for the last couple of years. I've been reading this interesting thread for the last week and thought I'd jump in with my first post. Have a good day, all!

54° and very foggy this morning. Can't see our outbuildings from the house. Weather channel claims .25 miles? My eyes tell me maybe 500'. Forecast is for 74° this afternoon.

Didn't have a horse in the race but, Clemson absolutely stunned Alabama last night. Nick Saben said he didn't see the train coming ........ until it ran over him.

Planning on a bit more tree trimming today. Still have a couple dozen piles of branches to get to the burn pile IF it dries up a bit.

Hoping everyone has a great Tuesday!

Prayers to all.

I’m an Alabama fan, inherited it from my parents I guess. I wasn’t shocked that Clemson won, the score was a bit surprising. I guess old Nick taught Dabo well. But I know realistically you can’t win them all, and 5 of the last 10 is pretty dominant. Still, when you get there you want to win.

44 heading to around 60, high in the 30s by Thursday. They were calling for 3-4 inches of snow on the weekend, but now it looks like a wintry mix.

I’ve had tinnitus since going on low dose aspirin near 20 years ago. I mostly ignore it, but it’s there all the time, especially in my left ear. If I have to use prednisone for gout, it gets way louder during treatment. There are a couple of drugs, mostly OTC, for tinnitus, but some of them have dangerous side effects.
