a cow killer...nasty name, yikes, and one of those large bodied black and yellow spiders was making a huge web in the front gardens.

David, be careful and good luck with Hurricane. The path is not looking good. Do you have boarding material for windows?
I'd hate to be in your local Home Depot right now...

I'm headed off to the dermatologist in next town over to get bits on my face and nose lazered off, precancerous things that because of all my outside time, aren't going away. Have no idea what i'll look like when they are done, oh a little redness. yeah, right.

then rain this afternoon, so it will be a rest day. I had foot cramps last night and had to go dunk my foot in hot tub for ten minutes, couldn't figure out why, then remembered I rototilled for a bunch yesterday morning and that is not easy on me at all.
Next year no more manual rototilling, I'm hooking up something to one of my tractors, maybe the little Massey. And redesigning the gardens to have plastic between the rows. All aimed at lower maintenance and easier on me.

Gotta Check on Mom this morning. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers.

Only seen maybe a dozen cow ants since I’ve lived in Maryland, we had them everywhere in NC. Nasty buggers!

David, prayers for the hurricane to pass you by unharmed.
A bunch to do today and can’t remember what it all is.

Have a good one!

Good morning! 75˚ heading to the hundreds, lots of Sun. Taking Whipper for a walk early then fitness class and dance lessons on the agenda today. As soon as it gets a little cooler we need to hike the trails out here and do the bike ride on the path that connects the town to the lake.

Morning all. 71 outside this AM, going to the mid 80's. Looks like some fine weather on tap for the next week or so.

Managed to do all the deeds yesterday. Quite a day for the emotions. The remembrance went very well. A celebration of a full life, for a person who loved what he did. It was nice to see the military service honor a civil servant. A base flag was in representation of honor, duty and a community well served. My wife was choked up for the better part of the evening, and will probably be on an emotional roller coaster for the next few.

I bailed on the drive to the airport to meet my daughter. Too tired, after a long day. Hey, 20 hours straight... the body was aching and a four hour drive did not seem like the smart thing to do. Lyft came through for her. I picked up the tab, I think she will figure out that little money saved on a "cheaper" flight just did not work out. LOL. Anyway, probably off to Richmond this AM. I think she knows there is even an airport down there. Chuckle.

The mower seems to have been picked up...now starts the real service check and satisfaction process. This is my first Kubota issue in the 20 years of owning various equipment that something is actually "wrong" with a piece of machinery. I think either the carb is shot or the fuel pump is whacked. The engine, last I started it, was even surging on idle. Anyway we shall see. Unfortunate the grass is really high right now...sigh....

My HD screws showed up yesterday. Looks like I get to finally start the roof in the next few days. While I was down there this AM, the horses seemed to like it. At least it is big enough for them and my next tractor. LOL.

Hope all have a great day, be safe.

Good morning to all! Low of 52° this morning, mostly cloudy, only going up to 78°. Very good chance of showers/ t-storms.

Did our errands yesterday and also picked up materials for a small deck project. Pulled into the driveway, and a few seconds later, a rumble of thunder. Then came the downpour, hail, and a lot more noise. Rained for about 20 minutes. This process repeated about every hour for 5 hours. Ended up with just over 3/4" of rain in the gauge. They say we have a better chance for tonight and tomorrow.

Randy, maintain a close watch on your mom, UTI's can be stubborn and can progress rapidly. Glad to hear that she was able to return to the NH.

Drew, good luck at the dermatologist. Take a relaxing day, sit back, take it as it comes. The garden and grounds will still be there tomorrow.

Wing...puppy training / sitting.....sounds fun, but sounds like work...puppies are cool...

Rigustafson, this year our hummer population is dramatically reduced. Don't know why. We normally would have hoards fighting to get to the feeders, this year only counted 3 hanging around. We even had the feeders set out early. May be due to the heat and drought. My daughter up in Colorado has a flock of about 25 fighting around her feeders....???

David, hope you and Sophie stay safe and out of harms way. Looks like it's tracking a little closer to the Islands than the last time...maybe it will take a hard left turn...prayers sent.

Going into work for this afternoon, going to get ready early. Everyone have a great day. Prayers sent out.

It's 47° this morning, it looks like we got some nice rain yesterday and last night. It's overcast this morning with a 80% chance of more rain for today. With a high in the mid 70's.

Made the trip down to the auction in Ogden Ut with neighbor yesterday, he sold 14 of their goats. We made a stop at Harbor Freight and auto parts stores looking for stuff he was wanting. It ended up being a long day.

One of the other neighbors called last night and asked if I would help him today. He didn't say what he is needing to do but I told him I would be up this morning.

Hope everyone has a nice day.
CWB.

Hi, I'm here for you to lazer A.
Oh, sir, my notes say the doctors says you are here for B and while we are at it, we can touch on A.
But will the lazering to A work?
Not likely sure, they usually come back.
So I don't care about B, and you say A won't likely work.
Yes sir.

at least she was honest. I declined all treatment and drove an hour home.
just not my week for doctors.

now to head outside and try to get something done. Maybe paint the gazebo, possible showers this afternoon but who knows, weather is slowly clearing.

64°F and partly cloudy this morning, going up to 79° today. The weather peeps say we may actually get down in the upper 50s overnight tonight. In August. 90s are to return for the weekend, of course.

Best wished for riding the storm out, David.

Been reading information about copyrighting my music, and was surprised to find that it's not nearly so expensive I as I had thought it might be. Each song submission has a $35 fee ... or, I can submit the entire album for a $55 fee, which covers all the individual songs as well. Not bad at all. The online forms seem a bit more complicated than is probably necessary, but, hey, the government is involved, right?

yes, but for a small management fee I could represent you and take care of all those details. You would only need to
focus on your artistic talents. I will also handle your world tours and all of the other details. Album distribution, royalties, court appearances,
special wardrobes, I'll handle everything. You would get the normal artist net of 10 percent. just sign here please
