Since we’re talking about Hummingbirds.

RNG, I did buy one of the 32 oz. hummingbird feeders you recommended.

Received it last Monday. Washed it out well with hot water, mixed up a gallon of “nectar” with 4 cups of sugar to a gallon of hot tap water. Let it cool to room temperature in the refrigerator and added a quart to the feeder.

I hung the feeder on our east porch and watched. Nothing, nada, no hummers. Left it out for three days with no activity so, dumped what was in it, cleaned it well, and refilled. Still nothing after a week! Do I need to take out an ad in local newspapers? Do hummers read?

Good morning all, 69 going to 81 with a 30% chance of showers. Got .78 in of rain last night from a pretty good storm, good bit of lightning so we got nitrogen for the yard too. Been busy lately and have not done anything on the wiring but hope to get it worked on today.

coffee is done brewing. 62° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 74° with sunny skies in afternoon. Got another .26" of rain yesterday. Headed to Shipshewana, IN in a few hours. Should be a good day to wander thru the flea market.

66 high of 84 heavy rain did not materialize here but very close had over 3.5 inches kinda hit or miss I guess. Glorious next couple of days high near 80 low in 50s and no humidity

Randy, hope they get your mom well. Same problem my MIL had last week...dehydration seems to accompany it.

David, they talked a lot about your hurricane on our local news this morning. Hope you are safe and sound.

Been outside walking the puppy twice this morning and she is finally taking a nap so I can drink my coffee.

Buppies, looking forward to that weather you described here tomorrow.

Grass stayed wet most of the day, but finally the sun came out late afternoon and by 5pm I was able to mow some before a shower hit.

Black and yellow garden spiders are huge this year....and we have had a large number of cow killers crawling around down at the barn. A sting from one of those is the worse, but they are beautiful.

Ron, Shipshewana looks like a fun place. Have a safe trip.

Cover wood pile last evening and chipmunks squirrels didn't seem happy about that. :confused3:

Speaking of spiders wngsprd I’ve seen more in the last two weeks than I care to see and huge ones too. Every door I go out of into one of their webs. Lots of bugs trying to get inside they must know Fall is coming
