Got my last price and it was about the same as the others but it is for a 18 seer Bostich 4 ton with vairable? drive. Speeds up and slows down so it is supposed to keep the temp more uniform. All the others were 14 seer ans 3.5 ton. He is coming back to see if I could use a 3 ton instead. Anyone had any experience with the Bostich heat pumps? Mowed and weedeated and am hot enough without contact with a hoe handle. Hope you guys don't get too hot out there.

Prayers for Buppies, LS, and many more. Ed

68 degrees this morning at 7 a.m., 73 at 8 a.m. when I decided to mow the yard again, and 94 degrees now (just before 2 p.m.). I think the "experts" say to let the grass be taller in the hot weather, and to not cut off more than a third at a time. When I mowed day before yesterday, I had the mower set for 3" height. I had thought the grass might be tall enough to slow me down, but it didn't slow the mower down at all. However, I just didn't like the looks of the yard this morning, so I reset the mower for 2.5", which is the height I've been using the last couple of years or more, and mowed again today. I think it looks a lot better, so I'll probably just stay with the 2.5" setting.

Took dad for a little ride around the county today. He wanted to stop at a local "equipment" dealer to look for rotory mower. This guy has fields of junk, and some good stuff. Must have 50 old tractors, new looking fel buckets buried in weeds. We drove up to house, hard to tell if anyone still lives there. Didnt see anyone around. On a side note, i took their daughter out a few times about 37 yrs ago, was in the house a few times, now it looks abandoned, yet yard has been mowed some.

Shot a few 22s. First time for my youngest. He hit a can first shot. His 2nd shot jambed in the gun and misfired somehow. Gun kept jambing, so we stopped. If we go again will use a singleshot *****.

Hot and humid. Going to grill burgers later.

Never heard of Bostich A/C brand. But that being said, this guy is quoting a much superior 18seer variable system vs 14 seer single stage 3.5 ton. There is a big cost difference between the systems. Apples and oranges. I would try to find out who builds this bostich brand and where he gets it from. You can also tell him something like "I really like your quote and personality, if you could tweek maybe a tad more, I'll give you the job." Unless that is you find out bostich is made by the best manufacturer and has some longer warranty. But I don't put a lot of stock in the warranty as much as I do the installer. Ask him about filling the pipes with inert gas to silver solder them.

Don, a good sound bar can really bring a cinema experience into your living room. My FIL says it adds almost half to his experience. :) When I got my TV, I got a Panasonic sound system designed to work with it. When I got it home, I quickly realized that the soft cloth they had covering the sound bar's speakers wasn't going to hold up to a toddler's prodding fingers. I never installed it. So I gave it to my FIL, and after he was blown away by the experience, he took me to get a system at Best buy. He picked me out a Bose that had a metal screen protecting the speakers. It came with a wireless satellite bass box that can go just about anywhere in the room. I really love it. But I don't use it except for movies. Advertisements would blow you out of the room.

Prayers for all to have a great weekend.
