Here's a strange one. Turns out I already had a login at the Post Office web site, and I didn't need to create another one just for the Informed Delivery service. Using that login, I was able to set up Informed Delivery, and got my first email showing photos of today's mail. Pretty slick. There are regular reports of stolen mail on our neighborhood crime and fire Facebook group, so at least this way I'll know if something goes missing. Thanks for passing that one along, Rick!

The thumb arrived today at 1 P.M. With a temperature of 32 F, it is too cold for me to work outside bare handed. I cannot wear gloves and handle little nuts and bolts. Temp tomorrow is supposed to be 50 F. Probably I will install it then.

The forecasted snow has arrived. Only about an inch they say.

RNG, glad that worked out but, wasn’t my suggestion. Didn’t know about it either.

Went to see Mom, went to the car show for a couple of hours, took the parts to my guy to finish the tractor steering box rebuild and talked for an hour or so. Made out well today, not exhausted like last night, but ready for bed.

I’m surprised you’re not riding the MS-150 Mostly?

Good morning all. The weather is playing mind games this morning, I had it all planned out for the predicted dry day and then was woken by the rain on the roof. The clouds offer little clue about what is coming next, they have a will-it-wont-it look about them that almost guarantees whatever I do now will have been the wrong decision by the end of the day. :confused3:

At least I managed to pump a fair amount of water into the underground water tank yesterday. The ground up by the little pond was just firm enough to get the generator near enough without the Iseki sinking up to it's axles. For this first fill I was using a Tsurumi LB 480 water pump, which was filling it nicely at a rate of about 40 gal/minute until the generator started to cough after a couple of hours - I hadn't put in enough petrol. If a ewe with twin lambs drinks 1.5 gallons per day on a hot day and the field has 30 ewes, someone good at both maths and weather forecasting will be able to tell me what date I need to think of refilling again.

Thanks for the info on the zero turns, I can understand the appeal of joystick controls a little better now, although having said that, I don't find mowing the lawn with a wheel steered machine hard work at all - my wife does it ! :)

That sounds a great day out riding Mostly, I bet sleep came very quickly last night.

47 right now....high about 50 and rain today.
I've got to finish the set up of the generator...not much to that since about all I need is a couple quarts of synthetic (5W-30) oil. the local NAPA store is supposed to be open today...if not, I'll have to wait until Monday.
After that, just putter about...inside if it's raining...outside if it's not.

Forgot to turn coffee maker on again. :mur: 27° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 57° sun all day. Rested most of yesterday after pond vacuuming. Today going to go over wood pile and find all the 5-6" diameter longs that my helpers threw on the too large pile. Need another couple yards of wood chips for around the house. Then put chipper back on tractor and make chips. Maybe some NASCAR while some ribs are on the Pellet Grill. Local gun range is going to start hosting a car show every weekend. May stop by and see some of the local cars.

Mostly, 3000' foot climb. I always thought the land around Munester was fairly flat. We visited several times when we stopped to visit Jim and Kathy Inman. Good German festival.

RNG, I found out about the Informed Delivery Service last fall. USPS sent me a notification on my I phone through their APP.

Randy, glad you are feeling better. But get lots of rest.

Riptide, hope your wife is back to recovering.

Eric, I have enough trouble calculating my daily water consumption. Let alone 30 Ewes on a hot day. :D

Prayers for those in need.

Good Morning All.

Thanks, Ron...I think the Vortex be fine. I've used optics on rifles, but never a handgun. It'll be a bit of a learning curve with the much shorter length of barrel (over a rifle). I think the Mark IV will be my new favorite plinker. Real nice fit in my hands.

Good morning, a little tired but breathing better, able to sleep on my right side some. Washing clothes and going to church. Cleanliness next to Godliness.
Have a good day guys.

43 (colder than Roy) and going to 64 with 25 mph wind gusts. Wind yesterday blew thousands of maple seed "helicopters" around.

Ron, that GermanFest looks like fun...end today, though.

I must be strange everyone drinks coffee but me. When we go to breakfast I'm the only one drinking ice tea. Been that way since 2002

Randy glad you are feeling better

Roy I can see that becoming your favorite plinker

20 and it is supposed to go to 50. Wind N 9 mph. Sunny.

The inch of snow we got yesterday evening will be long gone by the time I get out to install my thumb.
That should occupy my time for about an hour.

Monday is shopping in North Bay and Tuesday is shopping in Sundridge.

Have a good day all

Glad you are feeling better, Randy.

Looking4New, hope you install goes well and not too cold.

Picked up 155 lbs of food plot seed from the feed and seed store...sunflowers, buckwheat, sorghum, and a soybean/cowpea/sunflower/sorghum mix. A few of the plots will be left in clover and chicory. Now I just need to get out on the tractor and mow/spray/till/plant and pack. They only had 3 bags of fertilizer, so will need to hunt down some more.
