Ok, some It's common in southern England and the southern US to call lunch dinner. I remember at a young age being confused with menu that had Lunch on one side and Dinner on the other???

Breakfast lunch and dinner in Eastern PA.
But my favorite meal is tea time in Bermuda.
My favorite place there, took two wives there, Pink Beach Club. Coat and tie for dinner.
It was worth it. Fully a/c, linen and crystal.
Looking out at the ocean lapping on the pink sand beach. This was not hard to take but I surely digress...

I don't care if they make those scones out of tallow my are they good. Half butter, at least.
i could sit there and make a real pig of myself. If the room at the resort in Bermuda was empty, one of those babies got wrapped
in a napkin for later whenever possible. Simply the highest quality carb and fat of them all.
And who would think I'd moon over British food, normally thought of as giving you a heart attack.
which I'm sure enough of those scones would.

speaking of food, I saw a new number on the scale. A low number, thanks to all this working outside.
My goal is 200, I hit 209 this morning. Haven't seen that in 30 years. Eating all these vegetables will help.

Speaking of food,
My wife made a really good anniversary dinner (or was it supper) of pork chops, and vegetables (potatoes, red, green, yellow peppers baked in olive oil).

31yrs ago it snowed and was cold. We were going to go from the church to the reception in her dad's model T, but didnt. My family almost didnt make it to the wedding.

Toppop, over near Front Royal VA, little town called Middletown, (where I66 hits I81) has Nana's Irish Pub. Good food. I had bangers and mash there last week.

Good evening all. 38F for the start, clear and light wind. Wind light to moderate all day, sky remained clear and high temp was 62F. Started WBS this morning, Men's meeting, and needed to mow and ride but accomplished neither. Did make to the Medal of Honor motorcade, 12 minutes to pass this year, 9 minutes for the motorcycles and the other 2 minutes for everyone else.
Prayers for all.

A clear sky did let the frost creep back in last night, however that will soon only be a distant memory in the thermometer's number store, as we have this super bright thing they call SUNSHINE :dance1:

Ed, fresh fish for breakfast is a real treat, especially if you are up a dawn to catch it. Some hotels I've stayed in have offered kippers (smoked herring) for breakfast. A pair of those and the fishy burps would still be there at supper time.

Jay, Cumberland sausages were always pork, originally made from a breed of pig called, unsurprisingly, the Cumberland pig. They died out many years ago, when they were thought no longer economical to keep (unless it was way too tasty for it's own good :)). Nowadays it tends to be a name given to sausage whose main distinction seems to be that it is made in long spirals.
It's the butcher's choice of ingredients (and what they leave out) that determines a good "banger".

Ed, I hope you’re getting through ok.
Prayers for all, you truly are friends.

Wanted to plant flowers about now but I better wait a week. Oh well, life is good and flowers can wait.

a much chillier 40 degrees out, and I see a 34 now in the forecast for Saturday, and lots of rain.
That could mean even more snow up North...

since no rain came down, lots of watering to do today. Might put on the sprinklers in the garden though it still is just easier with it half filled to do with a hose.

I wonder if we will start seeing big "sales" on flat screen TV's, get them before they go up 25 percent. And washing machines. And...
Will be interesting to see if Chinese tractors are exempt. Think of the impact on Harbor Freight...going to get interesting
Gosh do you think any of the tools at Harbor Freight broke intellectual property rights by being blatant copies of others?
No, they wouldn't do that...;)

hope you all have a nice day.

31 going to 57 and clear. About blew away yesterday. High winds forecasted again for tomorrow, then snow forecasted for Saturday.

Got some bush hogin' to do today, and some debris and sand clean out down at the bridge from the flood we got from the beaver dam breakout Saturday. If time, will take Coco hiking at the battlefield park.

Sausages, fish, I'm getting hungry!

Good morning all, 30 going to 54 and sunny. Got the lawn mowed yesterday, some places were getting to long and would have been a pile of chopped up grass soon, hard to believe. Wife went on thyroid pills yesterday, she had a score of 28 and it was supposed to be below 3.8. One pill and she is wound up and feeling more energy than she has in a long while.

Buckeye and Mrs Buckeye, Happy Anniversary.

Drew, That is where I would like to be but I have about 40 to loose to get there. Not a time to work on that now, to much going on but soon.

Have a great day. Ed

-10 with a forecast high of 28F. Wind W 3 mph. 60% chance of flurries.

Well, I've got 6" of fresh snow to plow AND it did drift in places, so that will make things interesting.
At these temps, I had better put the winter front back on the tractor. A piece of cardboard slid in front of the chaff screen that is in front of the rad.
She should start right up, the block heater was lit yesterday when the snow started.

I am really glad now that the D-I-L convinced me to finish the interior walls in this place 12 years ago. The first 12 years here , the outside walls were the inside walls, too. It is a log house and I didn't finish the exterior walls. I put in 8" of Roxul insulation then tongue and groove pine set vertically to match the outside walls. So far this winter the heating bill has been just under $1500.oo and I run the tractor on that fuel, too.

Out to plow soon, have a good day all
