Good morning!!!!

Anyone taking notice it may snow this coming weekend. Ground pretty warm so I'd expect only ground accumulations none on roads

Yes, and with a lot more cold air in place; the areas that see significant snow with today's storm will see even higher accumulations according to recent modeling this weekend. It should melt quickly

My weather will be the same as Roy's, but slightly warmer.

BEF- I hope that you shake this "bug" soon.

LS- Good luck Wednesday and I agree with Drew about "being good."

Eric- I have never seen a mini dumptruck before. Thanks for sharing.

Wngsprd- A great way to start the day.: A great coffee bean, freshly roasted, ground, and drip processed. I enjoy really decent coffee, but I have never tried roasting my own beans.

Ron- Good luck with the PT.

It looks like my wife and I will be on a dog adoption road trip today. This snow is messing with the logistics. We'll see.

My + thoughts, wishes, and prayers for all.

Good morning! Wind from the North, cloudy 58˚.

The cat, Gray2, left us a nice little mouse on the Front Porch.

(Kyle, don't let your kids read below.)

The dog, Whipper, who did not want to be out done, left us the Easter bunny on the side porch.

Bad dog.

Teeth and Dogs on the big TBN Morning projects list, Good luck all.

10 and a high of 32 40% chance of flurries. Wind S9 mph.
Winter storm watch in effect for:

North Bay - Powassan - Mattawa
West Nipissing - French River

Potential winter storm late Tuesday into Wednesday.
The calendar may say April, but significant amounts of snow and blowing snow are possible from Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday courtesy of a Colorado low.
Snow will begin Tuesday afternoon and intensify later in the day. There is also a threat for several hours of freezing rain and ice pellets Tuesday night for areas near and east of Georgian Bay.
Total snowfall accumulations of 15 to 25 cm (6 to 10") are possible in some areas by the time the snow tapers off Wednesday afternoon. Blowing snow significantly reducing visibility is possible as well, especially late Tuesday night into Wednesday due to gusty north winds to 60 km/h (35 mph).
There is still considerable uncertainty regarding the exact track and intensity of this storm system. Even a small shift in the track of the low pressure system could have a large impact on snowfall amounts. Warnings may be required as the event draws nearer.

I sure am happy that I did not send the tractor to the shop this week.

Have a safe day all

Good Morning!!!! 55F @ 5:30AM Mainly sunny. High 69F. Winds NW at 10 to 15 mph.

Thanks for sharing the photo of the dumper, Eric. Looks like a very handy size, especially when the trail is narrow or there are lots of trees. Fortunately the photo didn't inspire any "I gotta get me one'a them" thoughts.

Good luck at the dentist, Wng!

And on the dog run, Jay!

Didn't have much motivation yesterday, so took a break from old motorcycle work and chose an easy task of spraying weeds. The thistles have been going nuts with all the sunshine lately and are back to their old tricks of trying to take over the banks and sunnier and wetter parts of the lot. And the usual suspects are poking their heads up through what should be graveled lots, so it was time.

Just as I was filling the tank my bodyman neighbor dropped by to bum some aluminum cleaner, and I had plenty left over from testing on the old motorcycle project to give him. He wanted to see the bike, and was surprised it was all back in one piece. He even took a few pics to drool over later. He had cataract surgery last week, and was having problems with floaters and what he called fog. Apparently junk left inside the eye, and not much help has been available on his follow up visits to the doctor. So he's taken to sleeping on his back with his head hanging back over a couple of pillows to get the stuff to settle in an out of the way spot in the eyeball. He says he gets a couple hours of clear vision in the morning that way, which is better than nothing. Poor devil, hopefully his body will absorb the stuff and he'll have a good eye again.

Found a chunk of ahi in the bottom of the freezer and BBQed that for dinner. It was another warm evening so it was enjoyed with a glass of red on the back porch, listening to music and watching the deer browse. From all the twitching and flinching going on, I'd guess the ticks and other biting insects were also having a feast, at the poor deer's expense.

rtvLupins.jpg

The lupins are sprouting nicely, California's version of Texas bluebells. Mostly single stems where I've mowed, but one area has some pretty large plants where they've been left alone. No sign of any poppies yet, in spite of all the seed put out in past years. Just don't have Drew's green thumb. The only color my thumb has is when it is hit by a hammer.:confused2:

Here's hoping everyone's week gets off to a good start!

Cloudy and 22 here in Eastern Missouri. Kids got a snow day after thunder snow dropped 4” in about 30 min. Funny as today was supposed to be a make up day from a previous snow day. Back to the grind tomorrow after a weeks vacation at home. I already hate my alarm clock

26°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 43° today with rain expected this afternoon.

Had to clean ice and snow off of the car this morning, thanks to the aforementioned thundersnow we got yesterday. (Welcome to the Good Morning thread, manderson6741) We didn't get much in accumulation, but I did see a couple of cars on the highway this morning with about 2-3" on them.

All this talk about horseradish reminds me of the few years I spent in my early mid-20s working on a horseradish farm. It's a strange crop for sure. Not sure how accurate it is, but there was a figure floated back then that approximately 75% of the world's horseradish supply was grown in Madison and St. Clair Counties in Southern Illinois. Judging by the number of farmers growing it around here, I suspect it may be at least close to the truth. There was one processor who would mix a "special" jar for certain people that contained a single drop of mustard oil. It was so powerful, it would bring tears to your eyes just opening the jar in the cab of the truck. Seriously hot stuff.

When I was a drinker, Jack Daniels was my poison of choice. I drank a ridiculous amount of it in my youth. Every once in awhile, I still enjoy a shot or a glass over ice. Most of my friends are heavy into tequilas and Scotch whisky. Some of the tequilas are $80/bottle or more, and taste more like a fine whiskey than what I remembered of that swill from Jose Cuervo. Haven't been much of a drinker in the last 20+ years, but I do still enjoy the smell of a good bourbon.

I noticed on my way home from town Saturday night quite a number of moths appearing in my headlights. With any luck, a large majority of the pesky insects perished in yesterday's freeze.

Had a nice visit with local food bank. Took them a picture of the Pak Choy and they were delighted,
then got my will signed. One of attorney's legal secretaries was the Mother of my next door neighbor, and we got to discussing her
new grandson and that for sure went well.

Now off to put down some straw in the garden. I did all the hard hoeing yesterday and arms are unhappy today from it, but I need to get the straw
down before the weeds come back.

I did find this Chrysler keyfob info interesting, in case Junior decides to hoon the family Pacifica.
