I can't keep up here now. Went to Michalovce yesterday and arrived at my friend who wrecks cars right as he was about to go somewhere-- perfect timing. He showed me to the nearest car, handed me a socket wrench, and a few minutes later I had the lap-belt. I felt altogether quite efficient while my wife was getting her stuff. Also got replacement glass for the stove door in my office, then wandered the always expanding Merkury Market-- like a combination of Home Depot, a furniture store, and household goods store. Bought grass seed and some raspberries, black mulberries and one russian olive for planting.
The ducks spent the winter "fertilizing" the area that will be again the children's playground. It is going to get lightly rotovated and then with the 4-in-1 bucket levelled, finally the grass seed.
To Ed: I suppose your mother is on oxygen already? I ask because my grandmother last year got progressively more and more confused until after 6 months she was diagnosed with congestive heart failure and put on oxygen. Though also she had a UTI, and the side effect of some of the stronger antibiotics can also lead to confusion. When she got the oxygen, there was a great deal of improvement.
