Drinking first cup of coffee. 19° with snow this morning. Heading to 24° with snow. Plowed snow twice yesterday. One time for mail delivery then again later in afternoon for FED X to deliver the Gas Caddy. Looks like about 10" fell yesterday on top of the 6" already on ground. Assemble the Gas Caddy today. Then a couple of other little projects. Need milk. That means a trip to Aldi's. Getting to like that store. Do not have to walk a 1/2 mile to get to items in cooler.

Prayer and best wishes for those that need healing.

Good Morning All.

38 going to 53 and rain.

Beat the thaw yesterday by heading out on the tractor at 7:30m to cut some dead trees down and bring back for firewood...one was a big persimmon...hated to see that one die. Drew, have you planted any? We have some wild ones scattered around the property, and I ordered and planted some bare root ones a few years back, but they didn't make it. When they bear fruit, seems like every animal on the planet shows up.

After cutting wood, took my wife on a Costco run and Tex-Mex lunch run...this one was my idea - Costco has a $10 off sale on Mobil 1 oil six packs, and I was running out...first time I've bought 5 boxes at one time. Gas has gone up to $2.29.

Roy, sorry to hear of your skin issues. I'm sure your cold weather makes it so much worse.

Been watching some Olympic curling and speed skating this morning...who would want to go to Costa Rica when they could have snow and ice? :).

26F cloudy now low 40's for high w/snow and rain showers at anytime.

Plans for today... Take Mrs. to town for goodies etc., shovel path 3'wide 45' long snow depth 3'+ some spots and its pack enough I doubt snow blower could chew thru...better than pacing pacing floors finding something to do. ;) ... might even take snow blower for a walk.

Enjoy the day all.

Yesterday was National Pizza Day

I didn't know that, but yesterday morning, Sam's Club had something new in the freezer section; BBQ chicken pizza, so I decided to try it. They are small, think crust, cost just a little bit more than the DiGiorno pizza that they always have, so you actually get about half as much. However, what you do get is really tasty, so I certainly enjoyed it.

Our high temperature for today was 55 at 3 a.m., down to 41 at 6 a.m., 36 at 7 a.m., and forecast to be 34 by 5 p.m. with a low tonight of 26. Yep, going down all day.

20 right now with a bit of snow coming down. High...about 40 with a rain/snow mix. Reckon we might see an inch or so before it ends. That means I'll hit the walks and drive again.
Primary chore today is making a dump run.
When I cleared my neighbor's drive a couple days ago, I noticed his Gator was still on the fields below the house...probably stuck down there. I'll give him a hand getting it out, if he asks. Good guy, but a bit particular when he wants help. Actually, about all I could do for him is see if I can clear the road (wide path is a better description) with the tractor and hope I don't get stuck!

Added:
I've been suffering with really dry skin...bad enough to go to the doctor's. He prescribed prednisone and Benadryl as well as using baby lotion after my morning shower. Hasn't seemed to help much. My skin on my neck, lower back and arms is red and itchy to the point of painful. The skin is also wrinkled....almost like I'm turning reptilian (or The Elephant Man!).
Any recommendations?
My wife recommends Aveeno eczema therapy moisture balm. Worked great for itchy dry skin on her legs...her dermatologist recommended.

We haven't shopped at Aldi a great deal because the stores aren't as big and don't have the huge variety that Walmart, Kroger's, and Albertson's have. However, I think Aldi has the best canned chili and canned soups that I've found anywhere, and their ice cream is just as good as, and cheaper than Walmart's house brand.

Oh, just let the IRS fool with that! :)
I started with this company near the end of 2016. Maybe having too much taxes withheld. Will have to compare with what i did before that. The decision will be, large down payment on a new car, apply to kids college expenses, or pay down home equity loan.
Probably a little of all 3. Good problem too have. First i better check my numbers good.
