Good morning all, 45 going to 58 and mostly sunny. Hope to get a little more done on the pantry today. Have a meeting after lunch and that will take a while. Again, will see what happens.

Wipper, GO HOME.

Don, still praying.

Irv, thanks for this morning, who would have thought it would go so long?

Have a great day. Ed

34°F and partly cloudy skies this morning, going up to 63° today.

Thanks for starting this thread, Irv. It's become one of my favorite places on the internet. Good people, pleasant conversations. Life is definitely good here.

The low this morning was 27*, yesterday's high was 71*. Sunny and warm today and not much wind.

Don. Wishing you the best of luck with whipper making it home..

I know I haven't been on the forum very long. But believe it or not I have been reading it from the beginning. It doesn't seem like it started that long ago. I like to see what everyone is up to and the weather from coast to coast.

Going up and work on a fence today. Only two poles down so it won't take long. Then see what the rest of the day will bring.

Hope everyone has a nice day.
CWB.

44F, wet, and overcast @ 12:30. The winds have abated with only a light breeze at this point. There is a frost advisory issued for tonight. Looks like tomorrow and Friday it will be dry with a possibility of some sun ... but chilly.

Yesterday, I got a text message around midnight from Zack wanting to know what I'd charge him to build a "wood fireplace".

I think he probably meant a wood stove. Evidently it's getting a little chilly up in that barn with the new concrete floor these days. LOL.

Told him he could get a double barrel stove kit for around $75 and make one with a couple of 55 gallon drums, only problem would be that the chimney for it would likely set him back $1500 - $2000. Didn't sound like he was looking to spend that much ... and I'm not too sure Grandpa would be all that keen on having it in the barn.

He asked if he could borrow my torpedo heater again, told him sure. Grandpa just returned that about a month or so ago - after repeatedly telling Zack to. Kids ...

Made a big pot of chili yesterday, turned out pretty good.

Thanks guys. I didn’t realize that the thread had a birthday. I think I will leave the septic pipe alone. I will cover it up tomorrow. To get this done around here would be up to $1K. So I feel pretty good about the job. I have other things I need to get done, mostly getting the rental place ready to go. I am going to replace about 800 sq feet of deck, I was going to just do the worst boards, but after doing a few decided that half way looked half azz. Going to have a 2 hearted ale and hit the rack!

Be safe guys!

Well stated, I will say ditto!

Sorry about the septic system work in the rain. I'm looking at some work on mine soon.

Hope Myla doesn't have much pain and heals quickly.

Very busy at work. Trying to multitask a bit.

Supposed to get cold here on Friday night/Sat morning. Hopefully no freeze.

Had a promising call this afternoon from a person who saw the newspaper ad. I did not mention the area Whipper was lost in but he said he saw a dog matching Whippers description a mile from our house yesterday. We went to the location and no dog in sight. Several gates in the area were locked and the houses were not visible from the road. We went home and printed up flyers and put them on all the gates for a half mile. Continuing the waiting game.

The caller did report the black dog was with a yellow dog???

My Aunt talked to a neighbor where 2 dogs showed up after the storm but neither were black.

I put "reward" on my sign and was thinking $50 for information leading to the capture and $100 if someone actually could catch Whipper or had her in their sights when I arrive. Then I see another lost dog sign, when I'm putting my signs up, and it has a reward of $1,000.00 for their dog. Get's me to wondering, how much is a proper reward for finding a lost dog?

Good evening all. 44F this morning, clear, and light wind. Less wind today, still dry air and clear sky, and high temp of 80F. This morning Men's meeting, and fix some chicken chalupas for supper. This afternoon, nap and bike ride, not enough time to get into more trouble :).

Irv, sounds like a miserable but very needed job.

Whipper GO HOME ( in my sternest voice)

Nice pics everyone.

Billie, pray your wife heals quickly and without much pain.

Happy Birthday Good Morning Thread :)

2016, really like it, not that we drive it a lot. Dealership had to order replacement handle as warranty issue.

Good morning, no wind at all here, that is possibly why it feels relatively warm outside, though I can't confirm that with a thermometer reading at the moment as it's too dark. I need to get a replacement outside floodlight. LEDs may have an impressive life but the rest of the electronics in the cheap no-name fitting didn't even make it to 3 years.

Spent a few hours yesterday with a polesaw and chainsaw and now my forearms are pleading for me to take a rest. There are still quite a few old hawthorns to take down on my northern boundary before I can even think about laying the rest of the hedge where I've replanted it. It all has to come down in height as I'm about to get a new neighbor up there. He's a nice man, but his need is for arable land instead of pasture and that requires more daylight. If I don't get most of it done this year I am fairly sure he will get a contractor in with a big rotating disc that will simply decapitate the lot.

 Go home soon Whipper, before the bounty hunters find you.

43 going to 61.

Heading back to the doctor. My wife's bandage came loose, and so she took a peek and doesn't like the way the graft looks.

Don, I think $100 is a fine reward...most people would want to help for free.

Hope everything is ok wngsprd I've had two grafts both turned out ok
