Thinking of those in Texas this AM. I hope all fare well through the storm.

56 outside this AM. Looks like grass cutting is on order for today and tomorrow. Making a dump and gas run in a few.

Ran up to Baltimore yesterday. Friday night on I95, that was much better than expected. Highlight of the day, a road trip. LOL. Bids accepted, time frame needs serious work, but ....anyway looks like I'll be out of here for a few months.

Hope everyone stays safe and enjoy the holidays.

Good morning all. 57 this morning going to 76 with a 20% chance of showers. Today will be a piddle day as most are unless something else comes along.

Texas guys, Still praying.

Drew, Sounds like you have done your homework and are doing well on your disc hunt. Hope it does well for you.

Have a great day. Ed

No rain yet, and may not get any today up here north of Dallas, but since it's cloudy and a little cooler (only 72) I went up in the attic and pulled that big Aprilaire filter in the HVAC system and changed the filter.

Good Morning!!!! 74F @ 5:30AM. Sunny. High around 100F. Winds light and variable.

Looks like Harvey is really packing a punch down on the Gulf Coast. Hope all in the area come through this OK...

Do any of the fire fighters have a generator standing by in case that freezer's power supply goes out, Don?

Congrats, Rip. Will you temporarily relocate, or are you planning to commute?

Back on a siesta schedule for the next week, with highs in the hundreds most days. Worked out in the garage until about 3 yesterday when it just got too hot to keep going. Nice cool shower and a nap for late afternoon was perfect...

Welding on the valve covers and center stand tang done, now just need to figure out how to get that as cast finish back on the covers. Shot peening might work, and I think I have two sizes of shot left over from another project to try.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend!

RNG I do not know if there is a backup generator.
Total rain - 3" now and still coming down. Harvey's eye is 120 miles south. Wind 16 mph.
Harvey is right outside Victoria.
Good thing to evacuate your mom Kyle.
Rick are your roads still open?

59 earlier, going to 80. Took Coco and middle son's boxer, Charlotte, on hike this morning and felt like autumn.

Hope the forecasters are wrong on Harvey...heard the Euro model calling for over 50 inches in one area.

Don, glad you found a freezer and could reschedule.

Got some bush hogging done yesterday, and part of the lawn mowed, but will have to re-mow since it was tall, thick, and clumped from the falling dew last evening. More mowing today, and some tractor seat time.

We're high and dry here Don but, there is a low water crossing on one of the two ways out of this area that is probably high. Haven't left the ranch to check yet.

Still raining here off and on and getting some high wind gusts. Worst, so far, was about 3:30 a.m. Rain was going sideways, hitting east windows of bedroom with a 15' deep porch.

The low was 47*, yesterday high was 87*. Today is going to be about the same with some wind 10-20 mph.

Hope everyone in Texas stays safe.

Ended up working on a washing machine most of the day. The wife is happy it doesn't leak any more.

May go to a car show in town today.

Hope everyone has a nice day.

Have a report from my friend in Victoria Texas.
All the privacy fences are down as far as he can see. Power has been out for almost 12 hours. With winds still around 70mph on the backside of the storm, the power company is not out trying to do any repairs. Hopefully tomorrow. They have a 3K generator to run a microwave. We are very concerned about his house between Victoria and Port Lavaca. He flew his J-3 Piper Cub to the County airport's large hangar built in WWII. The hangar is so big he probably could have landed in the doorway. He has plenty of tractors, generators and equipment to clean up. Just hoping his huge barn and home survived.

We are fine here in Giddings, with a tad over 7" of rain so far. More on the way. New metal roof is holding up fine thanks. During extremely heavy rains, our internet goes out for a bit.

Tornado watch is effective for 2 more hours.

Don, you picked a fine hurricane weekend to have a fish fry. Wonder if people will get a rain check?

Now we just have to wait out all the rains and possible tornadoes.

Thank you all for your prayers and concerns.

70°F and .45 inches rain. A pittance compared to Texas.

Ours prayers to you in path of Harvey.

Not awake enough for any plans yet.

Happy Anniversary again Eric :)

Be safe
Have a great day
