We are getting an hours long deluge, around 3" since 5 pm! If we get the 5-6" being talked about, we will be near a foot in July, most since the 10th.

Randy, that sounds like a great beginning.

Been raining most of the day, .87 inches since midnight. Pool is looking good, grass has quenched its thirst. The brief periods of no rain haven't been enough to dry things out and more is forecast for tomorrow.

Heading for town in a bit, a couple of errands, take wife out for dinner. Pretty much turned into a lazy day, but did get a few things done on the computer.
Anyone here with experience with induction cooking? Am adding induction cooktops to my suites.

Good evening all. 8F this morning, puffy wind mostly clear skies. Tonight's rain has not panned out, so will leave July needing rain. Temp made it to 105F, it was hot out there! Bike ride this morning, watered tree, then went to town to finish yesterday's town trip. Still need to recycle oil, O'reilly's tank was full :(

69 going to only 72, and 58 tonight. Nice for a change. Rain sounds were good to hear last night and maybe more today.

Randy, glad State Farm is taking good care of you. I've had them over 40 years and been pleased. Now don't go blow that check on a hotrod.

Don, don't think we ever had a cat that lived as long as Gray 2.

Had a coupon and took my wife to a Sweet Frog for frozen yogurt yesterday. Very good, but you can spend some serious money in that place.

Plan to finish up Phase 1 of my shed/shop clean out and remodeling project today. What a difference it makes to have some quality working room and to be liberated from old junk. I am not even getting that sinking feeling that as soon as I throw out some old part that I'll suddenly need it. For some reason it is working the opposite...as soon as I get rid of it, I'll never need it. I have saved a few goodies, however.

That's all we have. 2 burner cooktop in MH and full size range in house. Biggest things is pots and pans. They have to have a magnetic bottom. Good selection of them at Sams Club and Amazon. We also got some good ones at Ikea. Motorhome has been sold. Nicest feature is heat from cooking is much less inside of MH. Same with house. The only thing that get hot is pan. We also have had a couple portable units. Both 1800 watts. You want them this high to get maximum heating value. Our will boil a pot of water in a less than 2 minutes.
Range is a Samsung. Works well but does not have the temperature feature that many like. Wife has always used the number settings. Even on the ones that had temperature. The one motorhome (2burner)and the range (4 burner) share voltage. This means that if you select highest setting other paired burner will have reduced setting. This is not a problem most of the time. But if you are boiling water on one and burner on another water may take longer to boil. Most cooking is done on lower setting. Besides less amount of heat created a lot less electric is needed to cook. The range in house has a large convection oven. Takes a lot of current to run. We have a Cuisinart Convection/Microwave in house. Had similar in motorhome. If all you are looking for is a cooktop. The True Induction worked well in our motorhome.
Need to add that cast iron pot and pans will work. But not as good as the newer SS ones with magnetic bottoms.

Drinking first cup of coffee. 56° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 81° with clear skies. Yesterdays project of picking up everything cleaned out of fence line. Was much more than I had planned on. Took about 4 hours. Front tire on tractor barely made it. Did not get tires to repair shop to get them fixed. Did get the shopping done. Need a rest day. Cutting lawn may get done today. Lawn has quit growing again. Not enough rain.
Randy, hope you find that one tractor that will last a lifetime.
Wngsprd, we have a Frozen Custard stand that has been around since I was born. Always make a trip to east side at least one time a summer. One of those thing that is still as good as it was when I was a kid.
Mostly, got rid of 10 gallons of oil yesterday. 5 at TSC and 5 at Walmart. Still have another 10 to get rid of. It was stored in the wood bin I cleaned out.
Good Morning All.

woke up at 3am by thunder and lightning, looks to be mostly through the area, nowhere as much as North of here.
But this will keep the dust down. Some more showers later today then it looks like a marvelous run of drier cooler air.

Toppop, advances are normal on total losses like this, and very good/helpful to homeowners. Yup, now you are shopping for new equipment. Probably the only positive here despite losing equipment you knew and liked.

Am going to work in the barn today, first greasing the tractor/FEL and then the mowers. Then will work on preparing to start to weld. Have welding screens to build to block off most of barn.
