65 and sunny. Ground is saturated. Dozen hummingbirds on dad's 3 feeders. Some get along, some don't.seen up to 6 at a time on one feeder.

Didn't get below 80 overnight, showers moving in, then clearing and eventually drying out.

It's unusual here, we have a lot of nights in the 70's from now until mid August, but very few above 80, the high was just 88, but the humidity was thick, dew point was near 80 as well, you could cut the air.
We had a half hour of heavy rain, now sun and wind.

102 yesterday so went to the river to cool off - only 101 there - home of mariachi bands and water fans.

Low overnight was 40* the high was 81* yesterday. The wind has let up some the last few days. Going to the 80's today.
Don't see any rain in the forecast, we could use some to keep the dust down on the roads.

Going to town to pick up some lumber they didn't have Thursday when I was there.

70F and mostly sunny, high today of 76F ... 30% chance of rain tomorrow, 60% chance on Monday. Secondary cold front will come through sometime in that time frame and we'll have a couple of days where the high temps will only reach into the upper 60's which I would imagine is rather cool for this time of year ... then back up into the 70's and 80's for highs ...

There's still standing water on the driveway here so the prospects of doing any yard work are pretty low ... likely way too wet, even for the spots that dry out relatively quickly. Still though, I do need to get all the dead house sparrows out of the trap and clean it up before it gets too nasty. Mebbe refill the bird feeders.

Probably spend most of the day inside doing cleaning house.

Need to do some work on the fish tanks too ... the Julidochromis have continued to breed ... there's probably 50 of them of varying sizes in that little 10 gallon tank. I noticed that the Melanochromis have spawned in their tank as well.

Good Morning!!!! 85F @ 8:30AM. Out early again and got the Honda unloaded before breakfast. Already hot and muggy out, so I'll spend a few hours monkeying with the dash in the garage then retreat inside to do paperwork in the A/C.

Visited an upholstery supply shop yesterday morning, and what a treasure trove of materials that place was. All kinds of foams, cardboard, fiber, and plastic backers, staples galore, and just the right glue. But he didn't have the right shade of thread I needed, so I'll be back down there next week after his weekly order comes in. Probably pick up a couple pieces of the backer material to replace some pretty broken up ones, too.

The DMV visit went very smoothly. I got there a little early for the appointment and only waited a minute or two before I was called up to the counter. The nice lady there took all my paperwork, sorted it out, I wrote a check, and I was out the door in less than ten minutes. Don't think I've ever gotten through there that quick before!

The mechanic's place was locked up tighter than a drum, but there were still vans all over the place so I don't think he's closed down (yet). Probably just too hot and miserable to work; there's no A/C inside the place. I'm not the only one lookin' for him, as I found a note stuck to the door from a lady that wants here van back, too. It's looking more and more like I'll be down there with a trailer in another week, and talking to an attorney shortly after that.
