Good Morning!!!! 57F @ 5:00AM. Cloudy and damp with rain this morning...then becoming sunny by afternoon. High 78F. Winds S at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 90%.
A gentle rain started failing a few hours ago, something of a surprise since the weatherman assured everyone last night that it wouldn't get this far south. Only a tenth of an inch accumulation so far, and from the looks of the radar map a couple more could find their way into the gauge. Having just finished mowing yesterday, the last thing I need is more rain.
Finished up the mirrors for the van yesterday. It turns out I wasn't applying enough pressure to the buffs, and in an effort to compensate, rubbed through in a spot on one of the mirror housings. So there will be a bit of touchup to do today. Getting the wires threaded out of the housing was a bit of a trick, and had to replace two of them with lighter gauge to have enough room. Testing showed that both motors and clutches work, an expensive fix if they didn't. And I finally got to use the glass polish and buff I got from Griot's Garage, and while the 30 year old mirrors didn't quite come out looking like new, they're pretty darn close.
Happy Hump Day everyone!
