Thanks, I just ordered the AT&T mobley, if it works ok I might get rid of exede internet. I have dish tv, for 20 yrs now. Would like to get rid of it also.

I found a HD antenna and Netflix can take care of satellite TV for a fraction of the cost.

Good Morning!!!! 63F @ 6:00AM. Sunshine early followed by cloudy skies this afternoon. High near 85F. Winds S at 10 to 15 mph.

I take it satellite or cellular Internet are the only alternatives to dialup, Buckeye? DSL or cable will be faster than either with no data caps. Last time I looked into it, AT&T says they may downgrade the speed of the Mobley once 10Gb of data has been used, so make sure you read the fine print before signing up for anything.

Got the emergency brake lever reassembled after painting, and learned that the push button lever wasn't bent afterall, but bent very persicely. Of course I only learned that after I'd straightened it and the lever wouldn't release anymore, and without a photo of how it was bent, it took a while to figure it out.:confused2:

Found the mirror parts I needed, right where I'd put them, then wet sanded the housings to get the dust off 'em. Today I'll buff out the haze and put those back together.

Short week this time around; hope everyone enjoys it.

63F and mostly sunny @ 09:00, heading up to around 74F for high today. Only the possibility of isolated shower today, and it looks like that should stay mostly north of us.

When I went down yesterday to feed the Phoebes around noon, I noticed that the nestlings had all fledged. The parents are at least still in the area, have seen them flying around catching insects. Checked and fed the Bluebirds ... they are no place close to fledging but are maybe halfway there.

Did some painting on the panel edges yesterday and then late yesterday afternoon ran over to The Depot with The Woman and picked up some impatiens. She'll probably plant those today. Felt a couple of drops of rain before we headed over to The Depot but it never really got going.

Also checked the tread depth on the tires on her car ... the fronts definitely need replaced, but the rears still have some meat on them (7/32nds or better), will probably have those moved to the front and have them put the new ones on the back. Discount Tire has a reasonable price on the ones we're looking at and I have been happy with their service in the past, so will probably take the car up there later this week ... mebbe tomorrow ... and get them put on. Also have a vibration issue while braking, so I'll have to dig into that and see what's going on. Hopefully just a rotor that's out of round.

Painted the front sight on the LCP last night. Today will make up a silhouette target and see if it's dry enough to get behind the polebarn to the backstop ... if so have The Woman have a go with it.

Then an appointment with the dentist later today.

We went that route about a year so ago ... just hooked up the old terrestrial antenna that's up on the chimney and got a converter box (didn't have a digital capable tv at the time) ... wish we had done it a lot sooner ...

Good morning! Was supposed to be partly sunny and 82, now it's east wind, clouds and 67 for the day. I'm about tired of cool damp weather, it's almost June! At least I don't have to water stuff much.

57°F and clear skies this morning, going up to 82° today.

Got some more of the tall stuff cleaned around the lake yesterday morning. It's starting to look semi-respectable again.

Had some surprise storms pop up yesterday afternoon, some had considerable wind with them. Wife and I had just finished tag-teaming the lawn mowing. Took a pic from out by the barn, then went back to the house. The skies opened up about 30 seconds later.

Several rounds of rain blew through, then the sun came back out. I noticed I heard rain again, and looked out to see it pouring with the sun shining. Had to walk out on the front porch and snap a pic of that.

Came in to work this morning, and within half an hour the back of the shop was filling with smoke. Seems our cleaning lady was smoking in the ladies' room and left a cigarette sitting on a chair, which caught fire and got into the wall. We got the fire out without too much serious damage ... but it looks like we need a new cleaning lady now. (shaking my head)

Have a productive week, guys.

70°F and no rain

Dinner in town with friends last night at Ken's Pancake House. Quite unexpectedly, but most appreciated, our table received a 50% discount for being retired military. We had asked about the senior discount as this place is a bit strange in that senior discount is only certain hours and we all qualify. Waiter came back to table and announced our military discount provided one of us had an ID and that the senior discount wouldn't apply. Not sure how he suspected the military connection. We did thank him and he did quite well on the tip.

Be safe
Have a great day

funny episode this morning at primary doc's. They have been taking my blood pressure because they thought it was high, when
in reality it's low, which we proved, and while I was there they were going to take out the two stitches on my jaw from the the dermatology
biopsy the week before. First one nurse said where's the stitches? Huh? Next nurse says, there are no stitches here. Now they go get a doc.

She pokes around and laughs, says I was healing nicely but no stitches. And she remembered seeing me the week before with the two black stitches in my face.
Well.....since I don't think the stitch fairy took them at night, it appears this is another example of my body "spitting" stitches, rejecting them out of my body.
This has happened before. Sure hope I never need a transplant because it looks like my bar's bouncer is very effective...
I literally must have washed them off my face taking a shower. I put a call into the dermatologist and told his nurse what happened, she
was a bit puzzled, and said she would talk to the doc and call me back if they needed to see me.

morning showers have stopped, warm and sticky out. Not a lot of motivation to go out and get sweaty but likely I will.
