45F and very very sunny out @ 10:15 ... finally. Looks pretty good through this coming Friday, with only a 40% chance of rain on Thursday.

High today is only supposed to be 52F ... but with the sun out it will probably feel much warmer. Unfortunately still very windy ... so that may rule out spraying ... might mix up a tank of Roundup and see if I can hit some areas with the wand on a coarse spray where drift isn't likely to be a problem.

Since it's dry out will probably fit the new tailpipe on the van and get some measurements for the pieces of pipe I need to weld on the muffler/catalytic converter assembly and get that welded up. Was very lucky that the muffler/cat assembly didn't rot out itself (only the pipes on either side of it) ... as it's a very expensive piece.

Yep, brand is not important, you want marine grade expandable. Around 30 ga, or about .8 MM and around 30 oz per yd. Look for around 30,000 double rub rating. These are guidelines.

Temp up to 53F so we've beat the predicted high for the day. But there is now a freeze warning posted for tonight, due to the clear skies.

Refilled bird feeders and relocated one of the Gillman Slot nest boxes that had never been successfully nested in to what will hopefully be a better area. Replaced it with the sparrow trap, since there seems to a lot of bird activity in the nearby trees. Checked the occupied blue bird house (the one with eggs) - evidently I didn't make enough noise to get whoever was sitting on the eggs to move out of the house before I opened it as she or he came shooting out once I dropped the door.

Got the tailpipe mounted and the measurement taken for the missing section.

Possibly might take a trip in town later.

[ I didn't know if I wanted to finish reading this or not but turned out great and i'm glad I love my pet's and I know you do as well.

I noticed this morning that Whipper did not escape what I suspect was a hog fight un-injured. She got a nasty cut on her leg. She is getting extra treats. Just like a lot of people I know - she cannot eliminate bacon from her diet - even if she has to fight till the death for it. Hopefully she will learn that kidnapping the little piglets is just not worth it when you have to deal with MAMA.

Good morning! Hey I just woke up. Sunny. Re-hab called at 3:am labs came in and showed low (stabilized but lower than the beginning of the week) blood count on Dad, still bleeding was the unknown question. So, off on the 3:00am run to Hospital 70 miles away. It was a 50/50 call weather he needed to go to the hospital and it tuned out good in his favor so he was sent back after more labs and examination. On the way there a wreck on Hwy 290 where there must have been a fatality because it was closed with a detour. The guy across the hall from Dad in the ER was complaining his handcuffs were too tight.
