Drinking second cup of coffee. 50° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 53° with rain in afternoon. Well so much for Lowes having their act together. Got a call at 5 pm from them. Claim they do not have the washer dryer I bought yesterday in stock. Even though it was in stock when I bought. But can deliver one next Sunday. Huh, offered to let me go to another Lowes and get it because they have in stock. I offered to help him out by requesting that he have store manager call me. His response was that they could give me the set on floor for 10% off and deliver on Sunday. Not sure this is going to happen. Will have to make trip over there today and make sure this is going to happen. Starting to look like Lowes service is going in the dumps like other have stated here.
Cat fever, my brother lives in Ogden. I like the mountain views that surround the area.
Good Morning All.

All of us that live anywhere around the Wasatch front have great mountain views. You should come up in the fall and have your brother take you up through Monte Cristo, that is a beautiful ride when the leaves are changing.

71 going to 92 and it's still April...had the woodstove going just 4 days ago.

Lightning bugs were out heavy this morning before light. Purple martins have arrived. Still haven't seen the female hummingbirds, just some males.

Took advantage of yesterday morning's thundershower and resulting fog to wash the truck after it had a nice soaking to soften the bugs on the grill. Fixed the leak in the drain from the faucet I just replaced after getting home from the gym, and then mowed around the house. Then watched the Orioles blow a nice 9-1 lead to lose to the Yankees on a walk off homer.

59 now heading to 70. Need to get some more raking done today. Grass is coming up almost a month early. Yard is still a wet mess.

<laughing>
Made the trip to New York fine and first week of school has went well.
I'm off today and went for my walk near the hotel.
I must be out of shape. I went for quick walk with coffee, came back and got a second one and walked by the exercise room.
Went in and was playing with the buttons on the treadmills to see how it works while standing beside it. With my cup of coffee.

And started sweating!

56F and cloudy @ 07:00 with rain in the area, high today 66F. 85F tomorrow with a 40% chance of storms but not until late.

Got lucky yesterday ... the rain after the muffler fix was only a quick spritzing ... managed to get about 95% of the grass on the front lawns picked up ... five loads worth.

Rain likely for the next five days (40% - 70% chance), and cool, below average temps after that ... so it looks like we're on the rain train for the next little bit ... which I'm sure will make the grass grow like mad ... :(

Saw the first couple of barn swallows yesterday ...

... RS, those dogwoods are very pretty. ...
Billy,

Thanks ... we enjoy them.

They seem to be doing better since I started pruning them.

Glad you guys were able to spend time with you mother. I imagine those azaleas were quite the sight.

good job RS. Hopefully it sounded a lot better. ...
Thanks.

Much better than no muffler at all but it's still pretty noisy if you are standing next to it ...

Was sure nice to have it start on the second pull after sitting for the past 5 months ... :D

BTW ... our April ended up being something like the 4th warmest on record.

Nice swing ...

I spent quite a while just freeing the carburetor from it's tomb of solidified cement and stone dust. Hard to explain why anyone would spend hours of our limited lifespans on messing with things like this, yet with the radio playing in the background I was as happy as could be. Even better as the likely disappointment of not being able to get it going again is still a long way in the future.
Funny how the challenge drives us to spend an overage of time on such things....as well as I have little time and little extra money...

We don't have that brand Kyle. Do know Speed King - not a brand but from a band that would ruin your washing - all the whites would come out Deep Purple.

Speed King Deep Purple tie dyed laundry...Does smoke come off the water when you lift the lid?

Got home yesterday from work. Took the kids to walmart for a couple of items. Nearly had a crazy lady run over us in a medium SUV after leaving walmart. She shot across the lanes, coming from the opposite direction, across the center left turn lane, into our lane, and at the last second, whipped back into the center turn lane. Stayed in the turn lane for at least a 1/4 mile then went back into her lane...My 11 year old was in the back seat and saw it all happen too. I told her the lady must be crazy or out of her mind. I just thanked the Lord.

Got home from walmart, and our outside AC unit was buzzing, not working. Compressor overheated. Put a new capacitor on it. No luck. Needs a new condenser fan my neighbor says. Going to try and procure a new fan and new contacts this morning...might be hard to do on a Saturday. Will have to drive 60 miles away.
