Good morning! 59˚ and foggy. Some business are closed some open today in observance of Good Friday. One bank is close the other is open. At the medical offices some are closed some open. I need to take Dad to town today for weekly supplies.

Paulownia are those big-leaved trees with the stalks of purple fragrant flowers this time of year that you sometimes see along Interstate highways and farms...fast growing tree from Asia with wood used for to make chests used in Japanese ceremonies.

We had several tree harvesters drive up to our house and make offers to buy the wood when the market price got high soon after we moved here. Our biggest Paulownia had a tree house built into it, so we declined, but years later a storm tore half of it down. I still have the trunk.

They can be messy since the first freeze causes all of their huge leaves to turn brown and fall off, but they shred easily.

Good morning.
Atlanta sure is loud very early in the morning. Instead of hearing song birds, I'm hearing everything from truck horn, jack hammer to traffic copters flying about.

Morning all!

Beautiful weather lately. The heat pump has been off all week, the windows open 24/7... This is heaven.

I can hear a logging operation somewhere to the north, and birds chirping. Early when I walked the dog I heard a slight low hum from the big power lines on the next property over... I love living in the nowhere...

Be well all,
David

Drinking first cup of coffee. 67° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 87° with sunny skies. Today I will be taking down the patio panels and store them away in storage compartments in motorhome. Then take apart wife's spinner and other decor she has setup around RV site.
Sam, good luck fishing.
Don, glad to hear fence line is clear.
Good Morning All.

Good Morning! 39F @ 6:00AM. Sunny. High 56F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph.

Finished what I'd hoped would be the last pallet of firewood in the garage yesterday, but this clear weather and more storms coming next week say I need to bring another one in. Also need to track down a fuel leak on the F250 that's been going on a while. Hopefully it's big enough to find now.

Mouse damage to the wires on the van mostly repaired, but there's still some re-routing to do on the passenger side dome lights and door switches. Another long heart-to-heart with the mechanic, expressing my displeasure at new damage to paint on the wheels and body, reminding him that our agreement was to minimize the time in the shop to avoid that kind of thing. I'll be doing some work on the dash here at home this weekend, and as soon as it's finished the windshield can go back on, making the vehicle weather tight. At that point I'll bring it back here so I can continue with the rest of the work on the interior, at least until the engine is ready for installation...

TGIF...

61°F and cloudy this morning, going up to 81° today. Expecting some rain later.

Wife and I did some mattress shopping last weekend, and found a Sealy we both liked. The three-year-old memory foam mattress just wasn't cutting it either for my back or her sciatic nerve. Her and the boy went to pick it up yesterday afternoon, and we swapped them out when I got home from work. This morning was the first morning in months that she woke up without that nagging leg pain.

Before they did that, though, they drove to Mount Vernon, IL for an appointment the boy made with an Army recruiter. Still not sure what direction he wants to go in life, he's now considering the Army Reserve. We both agree that basic training will be a rude awakening for him, but one he sorely needs.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.
