58 going to 71 and tornado watch in effect...storm has reached the neighboring county, so will be here soon at the rate it is moving.

Waiting to try the Hawaiian coffee with my wife when I get back from a quick hike before the rain...glad I didn't have to pay any where near those coffee-shop-at-the-mall prices for my unroasted beans.

Changed the gear oil and lubed the 3 pt tiller yesterday, but ran out of time to use it, so will have to wait until after the rain dries to get started on this year's tilling.

Good morning. 46˚ this morning after a 90˚ day Monday afternoon. I don't agree with the fasting part of a Physical. You should be allowed to do what you normally do or the results are skewed.

Beautiful spring day with lots of sunshine, but with Buppies and my Dads experiences I will be wearing a big rim hat. No cap here, the ears need protection as much as the eyes and forehead.

But if the baseline for all patients are done with fasting then your results, while consistent with your body, is not consistent for the physicians to compare with baseline. I think there is a good case for fasting.

I agree with you on the hat. I've been wearing wide brim hat for decades now. Years ago my brother found skin cancer precursors on my ears and told me in no uncertain term that I must wear wide brim hat at all time when I'm outdoor.

RNG, did you get a LoJack? I'm afraid that you'll catch them up to no good.

I ended up with a SPOT Trace. They were on sale for fifty bux at Cabelas a while back, and the service is "only" a hundred bux a year. The down side is that the reporting interval is only every five minutes (it can be made to drop to every 2 1/2 minutes if you double the yearly fee), and it won't work through a metal roof as is found in most industrial buildings, but it will report through the fiberglass roof on the van. I have this one set to report an all's well heartbeat once a day; otherwise it's silent to conserve batteries but wakes up when it detects either motion or vibration. I've been using it on the dash of my truck and it works well so far, but I'll be curious to see how long the fancy lithium batteries last.

Poured first cup of coffee. 62° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 89° with lots of sun. Got everything cleaned up from the palm branches and dust yesterday. Wife has another doctor appointment today. Then some patio time.
Had several motorcycles over the years. All less than 400cc. None for last 25 years. Still have a motorcycle drivers license. It's Arizona Cycle Week in Scottsdale. But I will not be attending.
Good Morning All.

T-Mobile
This is speed test just using the indoor antenna, sitting on kitchen table. Far better than I normally get with current provider and I expect it will be even better with the outdoor antenna.

That's very respectable performance, David. How did you determine that T-Mobile had sufficient signal strength at your location?

Good Morning! 57F @ 6:30AM. Rain early...then remaining cloudy with showers in the afternoon. High 57F. Winds SE at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 90%. Rainfall around a quarter of an inch. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.

The bulk of this storm system will hit late tonight and into tomorrow morning, bringing high winds and a couple inches of rain before it peters out on Sunday into Monday. Probably won't get much sleep tonight. Didn't get much last night, either, not having returned home until 10PM, and it was midnight before I wound down enough to get to bed.

Headliner install didn't go too well. As predicted, the glue soaked through the material staining it a spattered yellow. I'm now looking into using buttons over a thicker foam to hold the cloth up on the underside of the arched headliner, and even found some button forms that let you cover them with your own cloth. Or I could just let the nickel finish shine through, and tell folks that notice that they're UFOs floating around in the sky (the pattern on the material).

I was able to get the luggage carrier installed with a lot less hassle than I was led to believe, and also the driver side window and rubber moldings. Still needs a little adjustment to run smoothly, but all the shouting is over. :confused2:

Forgot the bracket for the GPS tracker, so I'll get that installed today, and install another relay for the dual horn setup I ended up with. Have to wait for the radiator installation to finish before I can find a place for the horns though. Still have to install the rear wiper assembly and license plate lights in the rear hatch, and there's also a remote entry kit for the driver and passenger door locks to install. That'll be enough for today, as I want to be off the roads by dark when the heaviest part of the storm is supposed to hit.

The youngest mechanic was getting grumpy yesterday afternoon, blasting some pretty hard edged rock from the stereo and pretty much getting on everyone else's nerves. One of the guys just turned it off, prompting the owner's wife to suggest playing some Hawaiian music. Slat key guitar, but modern, some Pandora stream she'd found. They say music soothes the savage beast, and it was almost funny the way it calmed the youngster down. He was actually smiling and singing along with some of the tunes. Right up until he dropped a transmission on his arm, which he milked for a half hour of whining and slacking off. He's also taken to dropping blatant hints of wanting a raise at every opportunity, but until he shuts up and starts kicking some butt, they're pretty much having the opposite effect.:confused2::laughing:

Got an email from my divorce attorney yesterday asking me to write a review for him on a popular online attorney rating site. It seems some rich doctor (a previous client) went on there and cried crocodile tears about the settlement he signed, apparently before reading it or discussing it with the attorney. I'd never had anything but the most professional service from the guy, and thought his communication skills were well above average, so I agreed to the review. It's really unfortunate when someone decides to blame other people for their poor judgement, especially when they do it in a forum where the person being attacked has very little recourse. Unfortunately, writing that review brought back some pretty awful memories, ones I still find myself struggling to get over. Maybe some day, eh?

Hang in there gang, Friday's comin'!

46°F and light rain this morning, going up to 57° today. It rained/stormed on and off all day yesterday, and all through the night. Finally quit on my way to work. Clear skies over North St. Louis. That wind, though! Wow. Howling all night, and no sign it's letting up today.

I've had a few bikes over the years, but none lasted 25 years. Had a BMW R100RT, Suzuki 550GT (my only non-dresser), Yamaha XS1100S, and the current Honda 'Oldwing. I do still miss that BMW.

Right now I'm without a ride. I'm all kinds of sad! I've got so many things going on. Can't ride until I get them under control.

RedNeckGeek,
Today is my Friday! That's a good thing, I guess.
My project to move the front door of my house out 2 ft will be started tomorrow at the break of dawn. Hopefully it'll be done in a few weeks.
If my tractor parts come in then I'll get my tractor fixed and mow the yard. The skeeters are getting really bad.
