Good morning. Woke up to a lovely clear sky, though the sun is soon set to go into hiding for the rest of the day. Never mind, it's getting to the time of year when us non-QA types without the rhino skin don't take long to get a sunshine overdose.

This is speed test just using the indoor antenna, sitting on kitchen table. Far better than I normally get with current provider and I expect it will be even better with the outdoor antenna.

I decided to splurge and order some Hawaii beans to use for my 400th coffee roast today...about twice the price of most other beans.

David, they came from the Ka'anapali farm on Maui. I sometimes name my coffee roasts or blends if there is some thing related. I named this 400th roast the Kekoa roast...it's not like getting a stadium or a bridge named after you, but it is the best I can do. I started up a Hawaiian music channel on Pandora to listen to while I roasted - some of the most soothing guitar playing I've ever heard...it was breezy in the 70s out on the screened porch, so even felt like being in Hawaii.

What an honor. I'll be sure to tell the little guy when he's awake.
I always listen to KAPA, I believe they have an online presence.

wngsprd, I worked with a guy who had a brother in law that managed a Hawaiian coffee farm. He bogarted all the freebie beans that were sent to him. I remember 15 years ago, just smelling the fresh ground Hawaiian coffee being sold for $49.95/lb at some coffee shop in the mall. The clerk quickly asked if he could help me, probably so that I might not sniff all the good smell up. I said no thank you. It DID smell good.

David S.- I hope your new internet works out. Can you just run a hard line over to the guest house?

Hawaiian coffee is a lot of work!!!!!!. The beans are picked individually and then the multi-step process begins.

Running a hard line might be possible, but difficult. First I'd have to get a line into the tractor shed. From there I have over 300 feet of empty conduit that could host a line. Having its own modem/service connection would be easiest, but I'm too cheap to pay a separate service. My new provider confirmed today that the 2nd modem requires its own service, so back it goes. Looking like going with a pico station is workable.

I used another wireless as a repeater in "bridged" mode to shoot out to my shop where I have a router. I hooked the outgoing wireless via hardline to the ISP modem router.

Heavy rains calling for w/flood warning into tomorrow that should clear brooks/streams of ice also drop height od the snow banks.

55 out this AM. Might turn to indoor work today as the weather was suppose to be on the rough and raining side starting earlier this AM. Maybe later, but when the dog came in from the AM patrol, she was dry and warm. I of course looked around, decided it was dark and returned to the coffee making routine. LOL.

58 high of 63 then falling temperatures with very gusty winds. High wind warning wherei live for today. Big storms never materialized here but other areas not so lucky

last night's rains weren't as bad as expected but it sure is blowing and raining out there now, gusts to 25mph and picking up. Rain should stop in a few hours but the wind will increase.
I'm sitting here watching the rain, without my coffee, without my yogurt....groan, annual physical in an hour and nothing to eat or drink.
