54 going to 64 in light rain this morning. Forecast for this week is challenging. An inch of rain predicted here mid week; that means lots of snow further North usually.
I don't care about snow, it's the 24 degree low on Thursday morning that has me concerned. Not much I can do about it.
Fired up the weedeater yesterday afternoon to cut foot high weeds around the barn, seems silly with snow coming...
Left forearm still very sore and cannot put weight on it, but carefully can use it. Sore spot just below crook of arm, a bit swollen, hope it will just go down.
If I tore something, not sure they can fix it anyway.
I see a number of UPS packages on the porch I missed last night, when I finish my coffee going to investigate. I cancelled a large plant/tree order with Burgess Seeds, due to a very
bad experience with them, and reordered 25 hybrid willows on Amazon. A little more expensive, but order shipped out in two days.
Burgess told me they hadn't even looked at my order in two weeks, so i told them to cancel.
Which they didn't..., and kept sending me packages, the first of which I paid the postage to return to them, thinking fair is fair, I cancelled despite their
problems. When they sent me a bigger package yesterday, which unfortunately I was not here to refuse, it shows how messed up their internal controls are. This one
I told them to send a pickup for or the package would just sit and go nowhere. I have already received a refund on the order through the credit card company; have nothing to lose here.
Perhaps that company has too much business, but what a different experience in dealing with Jackson & Perkins or Burpee. I guess that's why the Burgess plants costs one quarter to one half of the others. Their customer service lady got pretty huffy with me, complaining of my "accusations" of poor service. Accusations? The truth will set you free...
No more discount plant places for me.
