Heard that the Crossroads in White River Jct. near Gateways Ford dealer puts on good fee also.
Than there's the Black Rock in Springfield VT.,that little restaurant to me has any beat in the upper valley for dinner.

Never heard of the Crossroads...stepdaughter raves about the Black Rock, but I've never been there.
Eaton's is about 3 miles south of Bethel, so an easy (and short) ride down. It's pretty popular and is pretty crowded every morning. Just expect country home cookin'...not some "fine cuisine".

68 this morning and headed to 82 today.

Auction yesterday was a strike out. It was a big D sale for a large tobacco farmer. He must have also had a decent amount of row crops by the looks of the equipment. His son was there buying everything back. A little hard to out bid the owners.

Finished mowing with the RFM but now must run the ZTR. Need to pick up empty feed trays in chicken coops today. Then maybe work on building. Wife's over halfway and starting to get worried about baby's room. I'm not the first one never used his. Don't expect much change for this one.

You guys in Texas don't hog all the rain. We could use some next week. Let us get some corn in the ground first though.

RS. Nice grapple. Action pictures?

Good morning! 70˚ The rains have stayed West and North so far. I only have .04" to report this morning. Tomorrow is the predicted bad day and I would not be surprised if we lost internet service for a while. TexasYankee do you have an official rain gauge.

I don't have a gauge, officially anyway, as I just use the pool and it gives me the amounts I need to know ("barely" to "yay I don't have to fill the pool" to "dang that's a lot" to "crap now I gotta drain the pool" to "overflowing, isn't this Texas? [current stage]" to "My arc is floating away").

I have a weather station just up the road I wait for official reports from.

Good afternoon, Was a busy morning, SIL came by with the Daughter's car and we did rear brakes. They were metal on metal.
Wife's car said low tire two days ago and I looked and could not see anything in it so I aired it up figuring it had leaked around the bead Well yesterday it said it again so today I took it off and here is what I found. Firestone , these only have 53K on them and have been rotated and both fronts look like this on the inside. Wife has a Pontiac Torrent and our daughter has the Chevy Equinox They are the same cars and have the same tires and driveline so I looked at her tires today and they have the same inside wear pattern. Don't know if it is a tire problem or a geometry issue. Either way looks like I will be getting a new set tomorrow. Tire wear on the rear is fine??
TexasYankee. I have a close friend who just last March bought a place in the Springtown area. Somewhat southeast of town. Wonder how his place is????

Here is the tire. Only 53K on them.

Wow, glad you caught that. I prefer michelins but, I've seen good feedback from some cheap tires made in Thailand.

Very pleasant day...weather couldn't have been better!
Spent a few hours picking up limbs and such that dropped over the winter....had the chipper/shredder humming right along. Also pulled out an old steel pole that had been used for a satellite dish years ago (when those dishes were considerably larger then they are today). The pole wasn't that deep (30"), but had been erected with a concrete base about 18" in diameter by about 18" tall. Pretty sturdy! It was always something I had to mow around...but not any longer!
Got about half a bucket load of dirt to fill the hole and smoothed it all out with the loader.
Stepdaughter cooked a few steaks for a late lunch...very tasty!

Altogether, this has been a very nice weekend!

that sounds wonderful Roy. Hope the good weather continues, going to be in the eighties here the next two days.

I have a question for our organic food experts.
If I plant seeds or plants marked organic, and then fertilize with a dilute solution of Miraclegro,
does that fertilizer do any damage to the organic status? Or does it have to be organic fertilizer?
The top layer of premix garden soil is fertilized also with long release fertilizer. Wondering what the rules are here.
My guess is I've long since gone over the line.
