Got lots of weeds taking over the yard, and it has spread to the garden.would like to spray it all, wasnt sure of the effect on the garden when it gets planted in a month.

Glyphosate is a contact agent so as long as the chemical doesn't touch the emerging plant, it's OK. Just don't use any extended term agents that say things like 365, extended, ground clear, etc...
Sorry, I see Farmer already gave you better info than mine!:D

Need to pour first cup of coffee. 57° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 68° with partly sunny skies. My sinuses are acting up again. Going to be another inside day.
Good Morning All.

Good Morning. 0820, partly cloudy, 56F with 99% humidity. Forecast high of 81F with no chance of rain today, and a low of 62F tonight. I'm two loads of laundry into my pre-cleaning lady cleaning this morning. Stayed at the camp last night. I'm going to have to switch out sleeping bags soon. The one I'm using is a cold weather bag, and can get a little warm if you zip it up. And with skeeters like they are, you need to zip it up.

You guys have a good one,

Larro

On the first chapter of the non fiction book about the Galveston hurricane, Bering glacier in Alaska is being reported to be melting because of the rising temperatures during the extremely hot summer - the year 1900. So global warming started 116 years ago.

It started about 12000 years before that.

This round of warming started with thend of The Little Ice Age, in the early, mid 1800's and will continue until the beginning of the next ice age.

Good Morning from Rawlins, Wyoming! 26F @ 7:45AM. Cloudy with snow. High 31F. Winds N at 15 to 25 mph. Chance of snow 90%. 1 to 3 inches of snow expected. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.

Made good time yesterday from Newton, IA, and got to Cheyenne by 3:30 (allowing for the 1 hour time change, now in my favor). Kept pressing west through Laramie, and going over the Laramie Range was "interesting". Fog with light snow, then heavier snow, but nothing sticking to the road. Decided to just keep going and made it to Rawlins where I stopped for fuel. One part of me wanted to get going, as I knew that the front was coming in from the south and the roads were only going to be worse in the morning. But the other side of me said I'd already made 800 miles, I was tired, and I was hungry, and it is unlikely I'd be able to get far enough to reach the other side of the Rockies. So I found a neat little room, nothing fancy but everything (except the WIFI) worked, ate my sandwich while watching the CNN Republican interviews, then sacked out.

This morning I awoke to 5-6" of fresh snow on the ground, with more falling lightly. I80 is closed east of here, and only westbound lanes are open to the west. While I was waiting on my old fashioned oats to cook in the microwave, I got the truck cleaned off, and I'll soon go out to see how far I can get. Only 900 miles to home, with a slow start this morning I'll probably land somewhere in Nevada for the evening.

Have a good 'un, guys!

There was another "little ice age" from 1695 to 1700. It put a hurting on the Baltic states especially, causing many to migrate down to Holland and Germany. But it was good for the young fur business in North America. Some of the best beaver pelts ever taken were from this period.

The tiller will kill just as many weeds as the spray will and it costs less, I also don't buy the line about the spray won't hurt you.

300 Prayer sent for your sister Ed

Never heard the line about the spray not hurting you. One should always wear protective equipment to avoid skin and eye contact. And don't snort the stuff for sure. Although herbicides are much better to be working with than insecticides.

I think they all have a LD factor.

Most scientist consider the period between about 1300 and 1850 to be the little ice age, but there were periods of slight warming and at least three very cold periods. There were winter festivals held annually on the frozen Thames River. Too cold for me!

There is a little joke those of us in the agronomy community tell new comers when asked if a chemical is safe.

It'll make your kids be born naked. Mine was.

With that out of the way. Wear your PPE. Follow label directions. Wash laundry separately. Wash hands before using bathroom or eating. (Yes I got that right BEFORE using bathroom.) That area is the most absorbent area of the body. No leather boots or absorbent shoes. Keep a change of clothes with you in case you get a bath in the stuff. Just your normal precautions.

Yes! I'll have about ten plants come in if they all bloom, which I doubt, but should be pretty.
Not really an "outside" plant up North, will see how it does here.
I'm just delighted that blooms are coming out.

Buckeye, where are the seeds coming from??? If the stuff is all over your area even killing with roundup won't work for long if new seeds can blow in and take root later. One thing about Roundup or something like it is things can grow back. So you just have to think it all out.

I am not talking about just when you spray it, but also when you eat what grows after you have sprayed. Ed
