Good morning!!!!

Good morning all. Only a light frost this morning and a little sunshine to come if we are lucky.

My only tractor time yesterday was pulling out vehicles that had ventured too far onto the grass at the commercial camp site on the other side of the road, 3 cars and 1 caravan. Then a neighbour came and asked if I could help with a JCB telehandler that had broken down on a bend, blocking most of the road. Without it's powered steering the driver had a hard time negotiating a 90 degree bend as I towed it into our driveway.

That's an impressive nesting hutch Kyle, your Barn Owls should be queuing up to get in. Last week I discovered a little owl has taken to roosting in a barn, right above my old fergie. The once grey paintwork now has a delightful coating of droppings and pellets to add to the rust spots.

36 right now...high of 48 and clear today...

I did get that universal remote programmed yesterday. Nice having ONE remote rather that 3 or 4 on the coffee table. It even controls the volume on the sound bar (but I have to turn it on manually) . The remote system is a remote, plus an app so my cell phone has the same functions as the remote.
This is the one I got:
Amazon.com: Logitech Harmony Home Control - 8 Devices (Black): Electronics
And I see it's 25 bucks cheaper than when I bought it.

32 going to 65.

Already picking crocus and daffodils to put in the kitchen...next 3 days in mid-60s should kick start more flowers after all this rain.

Buppies, glad your sugar level is improved. Thanks for promising more snow.

Don, are you sure you didn't visit Eric and snorkel in his pond? :)

Our repeated rains and floods this winter have changed the banks and bed of our creek...it deposited a higher level of sand in the bed, and built dikes on either side of my bridge approach as the flood receded. I plan to go do some shovel and FEL bucket work. There is something soothing about sticking a shovel into wet sand and leaving a hole as evidence of the sand you just removed, over and over again...probably comes from years of being a kid growing up at the beach making sand castles. But now would be a good time for a backhoe, or Buppies' mini-ex.

Good Morning. 0645, sunny, 34F with 95% humidity. Forecast high of 71F with no chance of rain today, and a low of 46F tonight. Another pretty solid frost this morning. Weatherundergound and I don't foresee another in the next ten days. I'm going to have to put some young plants outside today. I'm putting more seeds in soil inside, so must make room for them. And it's Sunday, so camping tonight.

You guys have a good one,

Larro

MFW, glad all is going well.
Gary, sounds like a great vacation.

Good Morning All.

Bright sunshine this morning but cool 36 now high of 66 later. Exercise is good and I plan to get plenty today. Lots of tractors time as well up to 170 hours wow going to wear this thing out

Of all the equipment we own the mini ex is my favorite easily hauled around with 3/4 ton truck but digging power of full size backhoe. The tracks do not Tear up too much as long as one is careful turning.

txdon beautiful picture MFW glad life is treating you well barko1 you will find more and more uses for your tractor and hope IRV is ok

Good Morning! 48F @ 6:00 AM. Sun and clouds mixed. High 67F. Winds light and variable.

Welcome back, Don. I loved snorkeling in the Sea of Cortez with all the fish many years ago. Our boats were a little smaller, though: Sea kayaks! But all the beer and tequila we could drink was included in the price. I think...

Have a great weekend everyone!

48 this morning and headed to 67 today. High wind advisory out. 30-40mph gusts.

Need to get the hardware stripped off the power poles the power company left me and start cutting them up. They are going into a holding and feeding pin redesign I'm planning for this summer. Have 5 poles 4 of which are over 30 feet. Think it's going to be close to enough corner and brace post. Now to do a layout and some finalization on design and flow. My current pin was built for 10 cows. Now that I'm pushing 20 it just too small at 32x48. Don't know what else I'll find for today.

Buppies good to hear you doing better.

Good morning guys, 49 already and heading to 60 with abundant sunshine. A great day to be on The North Bluff.
Had a brain fart yesterday when I unhooked the snow plow, forgot to unhook the hyd lines when I backed away from the plow. :mur: Well Glad I ran the lines down the FEL in hose, I managed to just put it all back in place in about 1/4 hour of fiddling with it. Frost is pumping the lane bad. We got so much rain before it set in that it ran the frost fast and deep. Water is bleeding right up through the gravel in places.
Welcome back, Don. Looks like a fun time.
Don't know if the kids will make it out today or not. Some NASCAR latter.

Farmer, Don't get that creosote on you when you cut them. Don't ask me how I know this...

Eric, owls in the barn can be a big mess. However, they do keep the rodents out. Can you cover ol Fergie?

David Sodamo, that Trex stuff works great. I have some on my back entry and walk for 10 years now. Still looks great.

Buckeye, what brand is that PC?

Many of the NASCAR guys were at the Atlanta SuperCross races last night. The races were great, Ryan Dungey had a bit of luck when his teammate (who was winning) encountered a lapped rider and almost wrecked on the last lap.

Currently 47.9F and sunny @ 10:00 ... supposedly headed up to a high of 61F, which is just outstanding for the month of February.

Fired up the Kubota yesterday and got some seat time: went over to the neighbor's and picked up the extension ladder, grabbed the spool of Cat5e and a new 450w, three-head, motion-sensed halogen light out of the polebarn (will mount it on the east side of house), gathered up the used kitty litter and disposed of that, got all the leaves and grass clippings that I had dumped after pick up last fall rounded up and piled into a new compost pile.

Did some clean up in the back room in the basement, and got a new socket installed on a floor lamp.

Wife and I ran down to Harbor Freight and picked some wire staples and a 50' fish tape which I used my 20% off coupon on, we were supposed go over to Home Depot, but we didn't make it - we stopped at a new Mexican restaurant next to HF and had dinner (was quite good) and she was tired so we just headed home.

Today I'll get that light installed and wired up, and run cable. If it's dry enough I might hit the driveway with the box blade to try and keep the chuck holes at bay. Probably do that trip to Home Depot.

Kyle,

Nice job on the box ... looks like you had a helper :) (a handsome young fella at that)

I've been wanting to build some nesting boxes myself ...

Thanks for the inspiration ... maybe this will be the year.

66°F and no rain last 24 hours.

Hope to get deck frame finished and installed on lanai roof of cottage. This is something of a balcony roof. I will install it in 3 sections then cover with Trex.

Be safe
Have a great day

(2-19). . . take in race on Sunday and then the following week on to a Western Carribean cruise. . . .

Gary, My ship was also in the Western Caribbean. What lands did your ship dock at. Did you do any Shore excursions?

David Sadamo, Is your cruise that 14 day AH Cruise? That is a long time. I'm usually ready to be finished by day 6.

68˚ cloudy, windy.

Thank you. Probable tenants will be varmints at first. We do have a great horned owl around and they will kill barn owls or run them off. I rarely see the GHO but I hear him maybe once a month at night. A barn owl family can eat a lot of mice. Kids allergies preclude us from having a cat.

We planted some tomatoes and 2 onion sets yesterday.

Good afternoon,
Well I did my first grapple job with the new grapple. The 2YO grand-son and I went up to the north end of the lane and grabbed a 25’ tree stump that had fell last year that I had just pushed out of the way. Not huge, about 7" in Dia. It worked great. Picked it right up and we hauled it to Brain’s burn pile. Only problem was it was wider than the driveway clearance so I had to do some maneuvering to get it out into the clear to head up the lane to Brian’s. All in all I am happy. :) Sorry no pictures. Next time.
