Don,

It sounds like you have gotten hooked up with some good doctors ... ones that are bucking the typical mindset of the medical-industrial complex and are open to discovery and new paradigms.

Hope it becomes more prevalent.

Well done.

Thanks, that means a lot.

This is a Non profit group that has "no disclosures". They have planed summit conferences around the US. The Health care professionals get CEs for attending. The Chicago people hired to do the logistical parts of this medical conference made a comment to the audience that this is the most enthusiastic medical conference they have ever put on.

Outside I almost got stuck again, So I'll wait another week. I box was blading a dry sandy road but where the blade cut the road water came out leaving puddle in seconds - not going over that road again for a while.

Dave, when you put the chainsaws away at the fire house, do you leave fuel in them? If so, is it E0, and maybe treated with fuel stabilizer? I ask because I've taken to running my small engines dry after each use, and it often takes several pulls to get 'em going again. Not the best situation in an emergency, but it does cut way back on carb rebuilds and fuel line replacements.

We use the pre-mix sold by the quart. Name brands cost around $7.50/qt. Off-brands are around $5.50/qt. It is E-zero and stabilized to give it a long shelf life. We don't run them dry as that would be too much delay when they are needed. The saws get run at least monthly but they would benefit from more use really.

At home if a saw is going to sit for any time, I dump the tank and run them dry. I use E-10 premium with StaBil added. My saw use is fairly seasonal so they may sit for months without running. That method has worked well for me. I only mix one gallon of fuel in a batch. If the un-mixed gas gets old I dump it in the car's gas tank and start over.

Oh I almost forgot, A did bit more info front the Dr that did the research on the most nutritious wine also said the broccoli stems were twice as nutritious as the broccoli tops and the green carrot tops (that we throw away) are twice as nutritious the the carrot itself. FYI.

One more thing, One Dr. Asked the panel and the audience if they were able to fine a nutritious substitute for cream in the coffee. He went through his extensive list of everything he had tried (un-natural cream substitutes) but they were more unhealthier than cream. After about 5 minutes - everybody was getting a little irritated because these Drs were suppose to be teaching patients how to sacrifice to make major changes in their life. FINNALY someone said "Just drink it black" - That got got big round of laughter and applause - because that's exactly what everyone was thinking. Kind of a lesson here - just keep it simple your taste change after about 3 weeks according to the Drs.

New fuel pipe/grommet assembly for the Stihl brushcutter ordered from my local mower shop ... $7 ...

Should have it tomorrow or Thursday, depending on which warehouse it ships out of.

You might be able to clean the carburetor, if you can get the smallest orifices cleaned. I "pluck" a thin wire from my fine wire brush with my needle nose and use it to poke into the idle circuit orifices. Also use carb cleaner with brushes and compressed air. WEAR SAFETY GLASSES to keep solvent from getting into your eyes.

You can also premix with 100LL Avgas, but you might have to retune the little screws a bit on the carburetor. It might cut the power back just a hair, but you won't have any stale gas problems due to ethanol.

Kyle,

Thanks.

I did a complete strip down of the carb this afternoon ... including the needle, H and L adjustment screws, throttle and choke plates and their rods. Basically anything that I could take off, I took off.

Carb is currently over @ PineRidge's, sitting in his can of Berryman carb cleaner. Will pick it up tomorrow afternoon.

Sounds good - will do

Will keep that in mind - the airport is about 10 or 15 minutes from the house and there are several FBO's there.

I'll probably check with the local marinas first, one of which is owned by a friend, for E0 ... they're even closer (5 to 10 minutes away)

Thanks.

59F and partly cloudy @ 22:45 ...

New cell installed in waterbed ... woman is very happy.

Got the first of three cabinets in the laundry room cleaned out, and everything (chemicals and cleaners) that should be in there put back in, in an orderly manner ... might actually be able to find something now. Next two will be pretty ... not all that much in them.

Noticed that someone dropped off some huge logs up by the shed ... need to get started splitting ... supposed to be nice tomorrow, so I might have to get cracking on that ... to make room for more :D

In the middle of prepping the soles to reattach them to my Muck Chore boots ... have some PlioBond and Shoe Goo ... might try a combo with the Shoe Goo in the middle and the PlioBond around the edges.

oh what a difference a week has made...
pouring out, up to two inches of rain predicted, after almost two inches yesterday.
The ground sucked up yesterday's rain quickly, will be interesting to see how it does today.
I moved my turtles back from the front ditch after mowing yesterday but now I wonder if i moved them back far enough.
I may be extricating turtles from the culvert today if they decided to float away.
forget the house, forget the barn, save the turtles!

sure not going to be much going on outside today. And i think I can put all my hoses and sprinklers away for awhile.
Looks like Texas has finally let go of the water and sent it Eastward

57 now high of 67 later in a cool wedge I suspect rain off and on today. Got another good dose yesterday evening and as a matter of fact was pouring last night no storms just heavy rain and lots of it. Some areas flooded but we are lucky not here. Good soaking rain now and we needed it.

A good day to catch my breath and catch up on paperwork

59 this AM. Found a city job for a few hours so away I went. Guess I need to start looking for full-time work, sigh....

Rain off and on for the next few. Hit and miss in my immediate area. It has cooled off, which is good since the A/C will not get replaced until Thursday.

Grass is perking up, and greening back up. Found two turtles in my koi-less pond last night. Good for them. One is a returnee from last year, new guy was a refugee from the swimming pool a few weeks back. Hmm....better in the pond than the pool.

Have a great day all!
